janson,

I have not tried Myofusion before. I assume you have tried both.
I did some research on it and it seems there is an assumption Myofusion is largely made up of whey because it doesn't keep you filled as long as Syntha-6 and is less creamy. Because of this faster digestion, there are subjective opinions that Myofusion has more fast digesting proteins and Syntha-6 has more of the expensive slow digesting proteins. As with all blends, I expect the ratio of fast to slow proteins to differ from brand to brand. If this is indeed true, I can see why Syntha-6 is more expensive. What is your experience on it?

I take blends prebed so I'm looking for a higher content of slow-digesting proteins like casein in it.
*
Myofusion, Syntha 6 and Nutrex Black Infusion are all very good. Less analyzing, more overeating. =P My sis is using Syntha 6, I'm using Myofusion and Muscle Infusion. They're both fine.

it say we can do either 3 x 10 or 5 x 5.. any different?
*
Yes, low reps don't do much for mass. If you goal is to get big, train like a bodybuilder. I'd opt for 3 x 10

OMG, i can barely bench half of that weight.

You'll get there.

QUOTE(apisgogo @ Dec 23 2010, 09:51 AM)
Wow!

any personal tips that you can share to develop strength to lift those heavy weights?

smile.gif
*
Yes, bloody hell wear a damn belt when you get to those poundages. Now I know why those IFBB Pro INSIST on wearing belts. The intraabdominal pressure is insane. I had to seriously push out my abdominal muscles to assist. Ever since I started using the Smith for shoulder pressing my delts have been a lot better compared to free weights (dbs and bbs). You don't waste effort on stabilization so you can focus on heavier poundages (WITH GOOD FORM!). More poundage = more size (with good form).

Did I say with good form? Lol.

QUOTE(John91 @ Dec 23 2010, 10:09 AM)
Chill yo, you'll be able to after a few years of consistent training. Compared to when i started off, the weights i use now looking back i wayyyy more.

hey dark, just wondering whats ur perspective on core bracing using the Valsalva maneuver? no good? since u did mention about the "insane intraabdominal pressure", im wondering if its not very relevant for very high poundages (is that what u meant? ><) i hv been cautioned that it can trigger hypertension and heart failure... but ive been practicing this for my leg presses, squats etc and i find they help tremendously, and is the reason why ive not had the need for my belt for so long smile.gif

one question, what's the point in binge eating ? can an excess of 2000 calories in one day help you build anything ?
*
Personal satisfaction. Bodybuilding is my lifestyle but I'm not an IFBB Pro. I'm a doctor and I live my life to the fullest with the occasional cheat meal. =)

No. Arnold, Sergio Olivia, Lee Haney, Ronnie Coleman, even Dorian Yates who did high volume HIT would disagree with you. There is no short cut. Volume is the key word.

Arekey, great posts. Pre, intra and postworkout stacks are the most important. On a note, Smith incline benched 315 x 10 yesterday. The scheme was
135 x 20
195 x 11
225 x 12
275 x 10
315 x 10

I felt strong, I think I can probably hit 335 next week with a video upload. Stupid phone had no batt.

Lol arekey. Good posts but you realize John Berardi is still advertizing a supplement right? Blends are insanely effective and I'll take evidence based results anytime over an article.

You guys also need to realize the importance of rest days. I'm not talking about the usual rest days already in your split. I'm talking about EXTRA rest days. The day I shoulder pressed 275lbs x 10 and 315lbs incline x 10 was after taking extra 2-3 rest days. Listen to your body! Dorian Yates stresses it all the time. When you feel like you've stopped having those awesome pumps you used to have despite taking care of nutrition and adequate rest on a normal split timing, rest more. It's not rocket science.

Bro, you are user of Gaspari Myofusion right ? How do you find it in term of result aside from its good taste.

I take immediately after workout and next morning after waking up. Should I skip the morning one (because at this stage I can fill myself with breakfast) and go for it right before bed time ?
*
Blends > Regular whey.

Shit son, you can add that scoop to your breakfast. More protein the better but not go crazy till 10 scoops like that.

Lol Casey, I've been training quite some time. I know what the preexhaustion principle is and no, both machines and free weights are both tools as a means to an end. Machines should not be avoided.
