i dunno what happen until it comes to that situation bro , but my advice is
1. if your team is playing offside trap , you need to hold the line with the cb while preparing a reverse gear to close the wingers down if the opponents with the ball chooses to do a thru ball to him . do not let the wingers get past you no matter what , u dont need to rush him to get the ball just keep delaying him just enough . let him cross the ball , probability to get goal by crossing very low dont worry. just keep protecting your goal post . if he choose to stay wide dont go to him , the goal posts is at your back not on his side. speed and positional sense is important here .
2. if you cb choose to rush/delay the player with the ball you need to replace his position and prepare to close the wingers if the opponents chose to pass to him or preparing a possible one two between the opponents where you need to quickly get to press the player with the ball.
what ever you do as a defender , you need to cover your goal area . let the goal post behind you all the time do not let them face the goal.
thats my 2 cents bro . good luck
how to overcome this problem for a leftback
