First of all, there's the classic handling of wingers. In your case, if he's left-footed, don't let him cut inside and marshall him to the byline. If he's right-footed, it may be okay to let him cut in while you concentrate your effort on getting between him and the goal.
If you can't outpace him, man-mark him and get physical. Get contact and slow him down and marshall him to the appropriate position. Nevermind the passer since he's not near you.
Key thing is to not let him get too far and not let him get into his favoured foot.
