i also very careful if want buy blackberry now.. i prefer buy a telco set new or used one..

im sorry to hear that bro, but actually you don't need to sell it to the other shop right away, such a waste.. i bought from that shop also, but so far so good, i didn't find anything bad. maybe i'll write up a guide how to buy second handed/refurbish blackberry soon to avoid these things

But I really take my time there, I didnt just look the phone and take it and pay, I play with it like 20 mins or so to make sure I like the phone. Btw, I already make the thread tips for buying blackberry, I hope you can check it out and put some feedback

some times cannot blame,waiting is a painful process, it is not our fault to purchase from outside other than telcos, but we must be very careful.

It is always not the money problem!
There are always users who are willing to pay higher to make sure that they got the original set. The best is to get from Telcos. But........
The telco is the one who should be blamed. for every new product, they have to take years to launch! Like BB9800, i4, ......... I just dont understand, why the telcos in Malaysia cant be like telcos in other country, they are really fast (like Australia, US, Canada, Japan...).

Telcos here in Malaysia are all sleeping, they dont really keen on the new products business. They dont really care about the feeling of their royal supporter (people who are willing to buy phone from them even pay for higher price). Feel sad..........

I thinks is a market demand which is the main reason happened like this.. Other country their population is huge so the demand are there..

me also buy 2nd hand but at lowyat...so far so good,no prob.but i test about 40min before i buy it....including charging,earphone,calling,sound,camera,video....

Sometimes buying used stuff are depends on luck..

I agree, guessed I have been lucky as all two BB that I bought are seconds that they worked as intended.

Just buy it from the telcos....for a peace of mind

Or get it from some reliable trader online just double check everything before pay and take it..

do lowyat plaza also have kind "refer to topic above" attitude? i was thinking to the brigstar set from there..they taking trade in for e71 quit high.

why don't you go to the shop back and ask for real AP/original set? what if this happens to anyone else? AP set is still better than recon right? nothing can we do to prevent all this?
