QUOTE(gundamsp01 @ Oct 8 2010, 11:35 PM) business management skills = experience in working (provided u really did manage something) eg in IT support field, in the beginning of course you need to do the basic job like helpdesk agent, then down the road, once u familiar with the process, there are many management tasks u can work for, provided the ppl above give you chancewell, if u saying study...then i have no knowledge in that field Added on October 8, 2010, 11:36 pm they go clubbing, but i dont club...dangerous place |

QUOTE(gundamsp01 @ Oct 8 2010, 11:51 PM) IT not too technical is help desk lo...one of it, others i not so sure... helpdesk is considered technical, because you just follow the procedures set by leads and managers, you cannot change it as you like, jobs like helpdesk, cannot work for too longbut the career fair at MV, most of the jobs are very specific...management = management grad, IT well u need to know programming... hard to find those management trainee post... Added on October 8, 2010, 11:53 pm no money how to makan? i need to feed myself then only can feed others la |

QUOTE(JonSpark @ Oct 8 2010, 11:54 PM) Since you guys more otai than me, do you think Information System Engineering is a good choice? I switch from Computer Science cuz I dont like programming. this one can become MIS officer, to monitor business process, got touch abit ERP but I not sureaiya degree is nothing when you go out to work, some of my engineering friends end up in IT field also, like me Added on October 9, 2010, 12:02 am QUOTE(gundamsp01 @ Oct 8 2010, 11:58 PM) my previous intern company, the top of the dept, he actually started from helpdesk...i asked him how he got to management line since he studied SE, he said enter helpdesk, then slowly move from there, coz u learn to communicate with customers(not those TM helpdesk, higher level one) yeap.. need to have patience to become robots for some years This post has been edited by dattebayo: Oct 9 2010, 12:02 AM |

QUOTE(gundamsp01 @ Oct 9 2010, 12:10 AM) what girls la again management is a very open ended thing, paper knowledge alone wont help much study management first hand means u alre on the management wagon no need to jump wagon like us now lo...from IT to management...extra step Added on October 9, 2010, 12:11 am yea, this i know, but employers out there dont know, they prefer u have the relevant "ticket"...if want to enter management enter sales line...start from bottom management grads have lower starting compare to IT, because they don't have solid technical background, to be good in managing, you need to understand the process of the thing you manage, be it engineering or IT |
