i doubt. collagen is like any protein broken down by the body into amino acids......and from there to anti-aging is a big leap of faith.

i suppose anti-oxidants would do a better job of anti-aging.

Yup, it does slow down your ageing process provided you take sufficient amount.

Our bodies are created differently. What works on you may not work on others. So far it works on my mom in law, my sis in laws, my friend and my wife.
I am not sure whether it works on me or not. I am taking it for my knees because I do hiking regularly. Lately, I noticed the soreness on my knees has reduced.

I am using marine collagen. I heard swine ones are better. I bought in bulk direct from manufacturer, no brand. The one I am taking is 100% pure collagen unlike those selling on market which are added with soy and contain low levels of collagen.

Who needs collagen, HGH and all those anti-aging supplements? The answer is SLEEP. Get plenty of sleep and it will slow down our aging process; live one day at a time and be happy! I am 55 years old and I look like 40; amazing but true and I don't even go for facials; only the assistance of a device that emits micro electric current to stimulate my facial muscles.

And 4Rings needs glucosamine for his knees not collagen. Marine collagen may have glucosamine; hence it helps alleviate knee pains.

Your entire body is essentially collagen, especially your skin and joints.

Take it as hydrolyzed collagen.

I've taken this before :

http://www.iherb.com/Twinlab-LPP-Hydrolyze...-oz-474-ml/8314

But if you read the reviews, this may work better for your face:

http://www.iherb.com/Twinlab-Cher-Amino-Pr...-oz-960-ml/2297

" ... Her finger and toe nails (turned into dark brown in color before)
is getting back to its original color, pale pink. "

http://www.iherb.com/product-reviews/Healt...6-ml/18214/?p=1

Combining it with hyaluronic acid is synergistic :

" This product has actually improved my memory and that of my mother,
who's in her 80's. "

http://www.iherb.com/Doctor-s-Best-Best-Hy...-Capsules/23083

" The side effects from adding the HA is plump lips (it is true what
they say, it really does plump the lips), great hair and great skin. "

http://www.iherb.com/product-reviews/Natur...Vcaps/3317/?p=1

This adds in both hyaluronic acid and resveratrol. If you
can afford this, you'd likely look younger within three months.

Does collagen really works?

Are there any side effects?

Would you age super-fast 10 years down the road?

We're just too inclined to the easy-way out.

Collagen is yet to be proven scientifically to be cost-effective or even to be effective, in slowing down ageing.

However, much scientific evidence has shown that exercise has been proven to be dramatically effective in slowing down ageing.

Your call, brother.

The best way to remain young is to take anti oxidants.... it could be any food or supplement rich in that.

Shilajit --- just google it.
This is the world's richest natural source of anti oxidants that could delay aging by centuries.... this herb is most potent herbal supplement. As per ayurved there is no such disease that could not be treated using this herb.

Amla - just google it.
One of the best anti oxidants available. The vitamin C rich stuff makes you young.

Keeping the supplements apart... if you take lot of fruits daily u wont require anything for aging..
u take pine apple daily for sometime I can bet u, you could see the difference. Your skin would glow.

Collagen/ Bird;s best as per me is more commercialised these days especially among chinese ladies. I know many ladies at mid 30's who take alot of collagen and bird's nest. There are many other cheaper but more potent solutions available.

The best an ti aging thing is KEEP Smiling smile.gif
