Introduction

Good day to all the reader.Today,i would like to present my own OC review of Corsair Dorminator 2000mhz CL8 4GB Kit.This is one of the higher end ram in Corsair lineup
Well,as we all enthusiast know it,Corsair been making Dorminator Series of ram from the era of DDR 2(Circa 06-07) and Dorminator GT since I7 era(Circa 08-09).
Let move on,shall we??

To start off,let us look at some pic of the ram first

The picture shown above is the retail packaging of Corsair Dorminator 2000mhz CL8 4GB Kit.It come in hard plastic shell with two separate box for both ram and airflow kit.


Here is the box.BUT NOW,WHERE IS MY RAM???

Motherboard:Gigabyte H55-UD3H
GPU:Gigabyte Geforce GTX260 SOC 896MB
CPU Cooler:Corsair A50 + Yate Loon High Speed Fan
HDD:WD 320AAKS
Case:Enlight Lian Li OEM with 1x 12cm intake and 1x 12cm exhaust
Ram Cooler:Corsair Dorminator Airflow Kit
PSU:Corsair HX520W
OS:Win 7 x64/Win 7 x86/Win XP SP3 x86

Testing Method
The review will used Super PI 32M to test the ram for stability.Note,Super PI 32M is not a stress testing tool so the result shown is meant it is good for Super PI 32M and that it.The actual review will be up sometime in November cause I don't have time to do Super PI 32M test and voltage scaling at the moment.Instead,I will have to make do with Random Test i make for dial in 24/7 setting/BCLK testing first.

No one sponsor me that processor
Therefore,i have to make do with I3 530

Let down by my skill/IMC
Will further test it when i have the time through(Aka november)

2k CL8 that is if my board/processor can do it

Here is some benchmark from gigabyte H55 OC Workshop with my ultra horrible I3 530 :

Yeap,under LN2
That what i meant by bad luck

Never bother to finish 3dmark06 when processor is bad

Tested and it just won't go past 218 219bclk
Hicookie tested and said the same thing

This thread will be updated soon
And the motherboard will be switch from H55-UD3H to P55A-UD3P as H55-UD3H have booting issue

After some brief testing,here is what i got:


Only 975mhz max cause my processor IMC

The ram will be revisited in future
