Added on November 8, 2010, 1:16 pmjust saw the UK version on youtube. It has proper disk holders rather than the slip in disk holders like above. It flips open 7 pages flat.

Which should I get....?

Also how is the binding construction? Is it well done? Not look like it is going to break after a few times opening?

Same guy who did Irreversible. Very graphic movie...

I personally think that Avatar was a BAD movie... Stiff acting, simple storyline(Pocahontas??)
It made a lot of money because of the 3D effects. I was one of the few movies out there that uses 3D to compliment the movie rather than making to movie to show 3D effects.

But I will get the new release because it was a very very technologically advanced made movie. It single handedly started the 3D craze/technology. I am more interested in the making(extras) of the movie rather than the movie itself. If you saw the way James Cameron made the movie you will be amazed by the technology involved. He literally redefined the way movies are made. (act first, shoot(compose) later)


Sad to say it was still a bad movie.

James Cameron is a great director if only he can keep his ego in check. Think he started out as a visual effects director. Guess that is why he has great vision in his movies. He developed morphing technology when he was shooting Terminator 2. (think a large bulk of the production cost went into developing 3D morphing with Cornell Uni)

Same great development in 3D when he made Avatar.

But he has ego issues. Think after his acceptance speech during the Oscars for Titanic, no distributor wanted to fund his movies. (didnt release a movie for the next 10 years till Avatar)

He will continue to make great movies and probably be the next George Lucas in developing movie technology. (hope the next movie has a better story and better actors)

That said, just want to reiterate that Avatar was a Bad movie...
