Dunno if this has been asked before...

My friend bought what is supposed to be blu-ray but it played on his ol' DVD player.
In Windows, it size is read as a little under 8GB.
Is this a real Blu-Ray or regular DVD?

Is there such a thing as single sided Blu-Ray/DVD combo disc?

Usually most of the new releases has slipcovers. Personally slipcovers are not important..but if you are a collectors maybe its valuable to you.
The movie is more valuable tho..

Majority of the newly released titles are on 50gb disc but there are some that are on 25gb e.g The Girl Who Played With Fire, Dinosaurs Alive! 3D, Wild Ocean 3D, Under The Sea 3D, Open Season 3D,  Love Ranch, Modern Times.

3D morphing was first developed by ILM's Dennis Muren for Ron Howard's Willow (1988, Lucasfilm), which he later advanced the technique for another James Cameron movie, The Abyss (1989, Fox).

James Cameron didn't make any movies since Titanic because he chose to. Not gonna elaborate on what he's been doing but suffice to say he likes deep sea exploration a lot.
