Strange
In the e-mail sent by Amazon to me
It mentioned that there'll be a 'Blu-ray Deal of the Week: "Alien Anthology" for $70.49'
when I checked on the calender
there's no mention on it hmm.gif

Then, that make me wonder is it the "leaked" news are actually real or not? wink.gif

Added on November 20, 2010, 8:56 amIn case some of you did not notice recent changes for rule of Lightning Deal, kindly refer to quote below for latest rules:

QUOTE
You may notice something new with our Lightning Deals today. You now have a limited time to purchase a Lightning Deal after it has been added to your Cart. Now the opportunity to claim the limited number of discounts is made available to as many customers as possible.

This is how it works. After you add the deal to your Cart, you will have 15 minutes to make the purchase. You will be notified by an alert that will display in the upper right-hand corner of the page when you have 10 minutes remaining to make your purchase. You must check out within this timeframe to receive your promotional discount. If you have not purchased the deal before the time runs out, the discount will no longer apply to the product in your Cart and will be available to other customers who are interested in the deal.

Lightning Deals have a limited quantity, so it helps to move quickly if you see something you like.

Then what is the best Bluray player available in M'sia?
*
Well, best is subjective and relative to the price. I would say the best value for money BD player locally is the Samsung BD-C5500 available for RM399. This has all the basic BD player functions that you'll need and a bit more. Check out some users views in this thread here. BTW, I'm not related to Samsung in any way, just a satisfied customer. thumbup.gif

If anyone in Pg has one they can scan the the Malaysian Edition or if I do get one, I will do it to compare. Not sure I am going to get one though, I really did not enjoy the movie, although it is truly an eye candy piece to show of ur HT.

I too didn't enjoy the film but my dad's birthday is around the corner and he'd love to have something to use as demo material so I got him this since he's not seen it in the theaters and I too want to watch the special features. biggrin.gif

BTW, what is PG?

Penang. Since I'm there. Anyone with a BD-ROM and the relevant software can check the encode.

U need to use BDinfo to scan the disc and see if u can compare the bitrates of the US version (that shd be in the US forums) and the Malaysian Versions. I believe since it is a Fox title, our encode shd be the same as the one in the US.

Similar packing and theme with Ponyo. I'll have to keep it going.
