Those expensive strap locks are for electric guitar. Get the Ergo lock for acoustic guitar, after you put on your strap on your guitar strap button, slip the ergo lock on the strap button. Low cost, simple and it works.

Lol... Ergo lock... Tell you what, make your own Ergo-locks with picks! All you have to do is trace out the hole and a slot on a standard nylon pick, cut it out, then bingo you have a strap lock! Saves money, and you can even choose different colours!
For the lazy ones, just use your Gardenia bread loaf fasteners. (=

Actually, I don't see why can't you use them on acoustics, maybe because the screw is too long and might puncture the neck base. I also don't see an acoustic player jumping around much, why the need for strap locks? Just get a normal strap button. RM 3+ only

I've bought a pair of ergo lock myself a long time ago and without a proper strap button it is not going to fit properly.. Even more so if your strap is thick.. Tried fitting it to my Squier with the original strap button and failed.. IMHO the better type of strap locks is the Schaller type.. I've seen the Fender copy of the Schaller selling for like RM60-70 at Bentley..

Ah, ok, what you want is a strap BUTTON, not a LOCK. That's simple, just go any guitar shop and ask for it. As cheap as RM 3 also got, as expensive as RM25++ also got. Just buy one and screw it in to the base of the neck.
To clarify, a strap lock is something you add to your strap button so that the strap doesn't come off easily. It's used mainly by EG players who jump around while playing, that way, the strap won't come off the button as easily.

If it is a strap button you want then RM5 like that also can get one.. Just remember to get a felt washer to go with it so it wont destroy the finish of your guitar.. Got a few ways to install it..one of the best ways is like the Gibson Les Paul kind of style but a lot of work This way I think is best...not much trouble and reliable The worst way is this..I've done it to my guitar and regretted
