Hi, cipan_histeria
Questions: 1)Does that means there is no point in bringing my own sim card to the other countries? You still need to bring along your own SIM card to do the pre-departure call-divert (**21*015xxxxxxxx#) before boarding the plane. Keep you SIM card with you just in case if any contingency while abroad for example, for some reasons you want to cancel the call divert (##21#) and use the standard roaming service provided by your home provider. 2) What will happened if I accidentally switched my phone on with the Maxis/Digi sim ? Your Maxis/Digi SIM card will immediately search for the available foreign network. As soon as you register to a foreign network, the HLR (home location register) of your home provider will be updated by the information, that you are registered on that certain foreign roaming network. You will be receiving your inbound SMS for sure. However if you already set up an "unconditional diver all calls" (**21*divert number#) before leaving Malaysia, this will be stored in the HLR and calls will directly be diverted to your foreign SIM card via SIPhony DID number by your home network without that circuit via the roaming network and so no extra costs will apply. 3) Can I just switch it on just for a while to received SMSes, then switch it off back? Yes you can. But your roaming status will be detected by your home provider. Theoretically you are not suppose to be charged roaming rate for inbound voice call even if your phone remains ON all the time because you have done the "unconditional divert all calls" to another Malaysia local number before leaving Malaysia. As for Celcom user, one needs to pay RM3/month service fee for the "unconditional divert all call" service activated. By default, celcom only allow free "conditional call divert" services. If you are using celcom with "conditional call divert" services, you can only perform (**62*divert number#) which is conditional call-divert when phone switched off or out of coverage. Therefore, Celcom users must switch of their celcom phone at all times in order for call forwarding service to work. INFO There are 2 types of call forwarding. Unconditional and conditional. **21* is unconditional divert all calls **61* is conditional call divert if no answer **62* is conditional call divert if unavailable (phone off or out of coverage) **67* is conditional call divert if line busy. QUOTE(ericyong @ Nov 5 2010, 01:44 AM) So...What is your point here ? What RM38/day Celcom unlimited data roaming plan has got to do with International call forwarding service ? QUOTE(lwliam @ Nov 5 2010, 11:55 AM) Sorry, this thread is not about unlimited data roaming plan. This thread is about international call forwarding service. The service is when your Malaysian caller call your mobile number while you are roaming overseas, we can forward the call to your overseas local mobile number thus avoiding the excessive roaming service charged by your service provider. |

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jan 17 2012, 07:01 PM) Hm.. I don't really get how this service work out. Can you explain to me? The current promo rental is rm5 per day and call/divert charges is pay as you use.If let's say I rent for 3 days, paid to you RM30, then when I make calls or text, I'll still be charged or the amount is deducted from that RM30? Say you intend to rent 3 days, you just need to pay a minimum deposit of rm45. Upon returning from overseas, i will deduct rm15 (3 days rental) and actual call/divert charges incurred from your rm45 deposit before refunding the balance deposit to you. If you think you are going to receive or make a lot of calls while in overseas, I would recommend you to increase the deposit amount to avoid service interruption. |

QUOTE(kweng84 @ Apr 23 2013, 10:48 AM) Free bumps for you. Thank you for your support. Just did a test to the visiting country's mobile line and call quality superbly good despite a 1-2second delay (agreed by my buddy who tested it with me at another end). Top up is as easy as ABC via REDTONE website and e-pay (i use HLB E-payment)..everything done in a split of second. Thanks for introducing such good service and will give you another write up on the experience in the visiting country. -K.Weng |

QUOTE(mike1717 @ Sep 14 2013, 12:05 AM) hi, can i check if the forwarding service 015 still available or this is an old tread.? also, can use this number to forward office fixed line number as well. mike1717i am planning to travel oversea where there are no maxis roaming. and same time dont want to miss any of my office calls as well. Yes, still available. Yes, it can be forwarded to office fixed line. For international call forwarding, just buy an overseas local SIM card upon arrival and all incoming calls bound for your maxis or 015 can be forwarded to your overseas local SIM card. |
