Hi Gurus, my 7 years old Sony Receiver (STRK840P) broken recently.
Planning to get new receivers (pioneer 520 or others) instead of repair it...

Can I use back my old 5.1 Sony speakers to pair nowadays receiver?

Here is the specs:
Old sony speakers Max Input: 8ohms 100W
Subwoofer Output: 6ohms 100W

New Pioneer speakers output: 6ohms 125W
Subwoofer output: 6ohms 150W

Receiver setup for ps3 & Optical Audio from Samsung Plasma USB movie,
and needed headphone jacks from receiver.

No budget to get new set of speakers yet... please help.
Thanks.

Canlah...just plug it in..

But I'm not sure abt your Sub whether it is powered or not?

For it to work it with the Pioneer must be a Powered Sub

When you buy used stuff...test it out many times....especially on / off. Most AVR break after 10mins or during on / off condition.

Also, it must have DTS and DD.....and has multiple inputs (or External in).

If you want something that sound better than your previous one, need at least 100W per speaker...and also you need to upgrade to speakers.
If you want just a replacement, than try this:

Try surfing mudah.my got many speakers (floorstanders) going for a song....but you must test it out and ask them for at least a weeks personal warranty. Some ppl are willing to let go their stuff for precious money...and never bank in money to ppl you don't know.
