+1 Thanks marcus20125 for sharing notworthy.gif
Its really a cool laptop~
It looks rather weird with the protruding speakers when the laptop is opened though haha laugh.gif But its a beauty when the lid is closed drool.gif
I think the speakers will obstruct the ports when the lid is closed down though.... still, let's wait for reviews~

Hi all,

I am looking for a laptop for my sister,

1. Brand -- Any
2. Budget -- Around RM2500 (Not more than 3000)
3. Specs -- For surfing, Photoshop, and Illustrator activities
4. Size -- 14"

She will be traveling abroad (New Zealand) and she needs a laptop for some online and photo editing activities.
I prefer laptop with good international warranty. Maybe onside if possible...
Also prefer light laptop, as she will be carrying it around and it would be tiring if it is too heavy.
Any recommendation? Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Regards,
Kenstone

speaking of laptop,
i just bought compaq presario cq42,
i love the design, and the screen is wide enough for me!
but then i totally forgot to look at the specification of the laptop...
doh.gif maybe too excited to bought it just now.
so it got 320 GB, 2mb ram, and intel pentium.
is intel Pentium good?
coz i thought i got the Core Duo one, but turns out, its pentium..
so is there anyway to exchange it

Core Duo is really outdated by now....
Even Core 2 Duo now is replaced with Core i3/i5/i7
The Pentium is cut down version of Core 2 Duo, but current Pentium based on latest architecture, so it still a fine CPU for normal usage...

I would recommend Toshiba..check they have some great deals with extended warranty. I just bought the L645 Satellite series, quite satisfied with it. Other top choices would be Dell, HP and Lenovo. Acer and Asus a BIG no no. Thats my personal opinion

Is it available in MY?
The one I know is M645-1002X which is RM3999...

Judging from its spec online, it would be able to achieve long battery life, but do note that is because its 12-cell battery, which need to take account its extra weight...\
Seems like the notebook + 12 cell is 8.2pounds/3.7KG which is even heavier than 15''/17'' notebook....
