Acer 4820TG, i5 460M + ATi HD5650/GMA HD@RM2599Budget around RM2,500. Preferably in the range of 14" Usage: Using the net Games ( the SIMS and occasional Team Fortress 2) Music TV series/movies mobility would be great She was looking at MacBook Pro, but I told her she could get a good laptop for a cheaper price. oh ya. she's a girl, so a laptop that isn't that 'guyish' would be good. Well, he want something balance or more powerful with much shorter battery life?
There's SXPS 16 for 15.6'' Asus A42Jv, Acer 4820TG, Lenovo Y460 for 14'' excluding the other i7 model... or will he use/learn Mac OSX? This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Oct 7 2010, 04:11 PM |

Didn't follow much on 4820TG, so far know that i3 version 4820TG throttle at around 90C, but the i5 don't...
battery life can reach 6 hours with power saver mode, but only almost 3 hours if watching 720p.. This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Oct 7 2010, 05:04 PM |

Well, you could use keyboard protector if really concern about it, or just sometimes use some vacuum to clean the dust...
ATi HD5650 is slightly better, but generally they are on the same level performance.. |

Nope, I mean 3820TG, the 13'' version
The problem with 4741G is for now, the performance of GT420M is below HD5650/GT335M, but from its spec wise, it got the potential to be better than those two, Speculation for now is due to immature driver for GT420M, but later it will be true or not, depends you believe or not |

Well, its priced in SGD...
Over there, the 4820TG is more expensive than 3820TG, but those are equipped with i7 620M/i7 640M.... Well, I can't say much whether it will last long or not, no definite answer for that |
