Are there any recommended msn messenger apps that doesn't run in background but send u push notifications similar to iphone..it really do helps to save my battery..i was from ios but i am in love with android..but "real" multitasking kinda suck up my juice....

Erm if you understand how iphone handles msn messages..then it may helps..it normally will send you the last message as a pop up similar to sms notifications..with that i am aware that i had received message..then i will open up the messenger to read..instead of running in the background all the time...

I am on JPM now, if i flash with Vodoo kernel, will it wipe my data and apps? lazy to resync and install...again!!
