QUOTE(pcboy @ Oct 4 2010, 07:36 AM) I'm using xxJPK with oclf v2.1, Rombie ROM ... it plays the flash contents very smooth. no gps problem. and the Rom makes it looks more colorful.. try it. and you can always revert back to Eclair whenever you want. no regret yes me too on xxJPK but is oclf work on 2.2? |

i was able to root it.
the reason that i use DXJP1 is because it is for south east asia countries such as malaysia. JPH or JPK, i tried already, nothing different. but if u using JPH, that is from Euro country, so u cannot listen the FM radio using SGS, cause it will scan for USA, euro or japan FM frequency. no doubt that the JP1 initially is not support the SWYPE with limited function. but now i able to swype it what i what. is nice! |

i rooted with DXJP1,
reason is because only DX is able to use FM radio. u use JPX u cannot receive FM radio. JP1 i think is ok for me. SWYPE i also solved the problem and valid to use. titanium back up is fine and i managed to restore all my apps |

QUOTE(Bap3 @ Oct 8 2010, 04:54 PM) u flash the firmware with odin,PDA, CSC, phone, re-partition all ticked. after u successfully flash with JP1. then need to use the odin to Rooting is pain in the ass, but easy as that: - put update.zip in /sdcard - flash i9000_Kernel.tar (no repartition, no reboot) - pull the battery - pull the usb cord - insert the battery, go into recovery mode (volup+home+power), should state recovery <2e> or something similar - run update.zip - pull the battery when device rebooting (showing GT-I9000) - flash I9000DXJP1_Kernel.tar (no repartition, with auto reboot) (instruction similar to JPH/JPK, should work here. hope is useful for u all i use 2 days to search the link and try and error only can root This post has been edited by fongwei: Oct 8 2010, 04:59 PM |
