wwhich one is better papago or ndrive...papago seems to be have very little menu to use to compare to garmin

so are you guys mostly Using Papago or Ndrive??  im probably the only one here that only using google map

im on JPK...previously i dont have any problem in connecting to my office wifi. its on wpa/wpa2 psk.
but today i cant connect to it....it always stays at obtaining IP address and then disconnecting......i've checked the wifi router no changes made to the setting

if they HACK you..they can root your phone even when you did not root it. so what you say is a moot point. the Android system is based on a modified Linux kernal. I used to remotely hack Linux boxes using ftp exploits, and obtain root.

Let me post reasons why I want to have root access.

It allows me to:

1) Uninstall applications in the firmware that I don't use
2) Modify the memory kill levels to let the built in task killer work more efficiency
3) Remove ads from free apps

How to remove adds?

I remove bloatware by using titanium backup.

titanium backup can be use at eclair only, once your at leak Froyo it useless    damn full of bloatware unless you are daring or install lite rom

anybody have the market install problem?
i can't install some of the market apps after download,

the download already finish but it will not install, nothing happen at 100% it just stay there.

ive got the problem after i flash XXJPK, now its getting really annoying.
anybody knows how to fix this ?

thats all?? how do i  do it to unroot it back once froyo arrive?
i mean it needs to be in Original condition/unrooted right??

If you can't also get into Download mode (Power+Home+VolumeDown = Android robot construction pic), you'll have to wait until Froyo is available via Kies since you won't also be able to flash firmwares with Odin.

I think the xda-developer forum has discussions on manually enabling Recovery mode. Do explore there.

i wanna ask hows the performance? is it as smooth as slicing butter on a hot cakes?? cuz right now i cant flash my stupid laggy eclair version..

just wanted to know if its really a speed demon on froyo like everyone says...

i've tried many leak froyo from jp3 until jpk, in terms of speed, i say you can have more smoothness in eclair + any lagfix, without lag fix, i would say it pretty much the same after you use it some time, but eclair get laggy much faster than froyo, froyo could tahan until 100++ apps or so, then lag start.

in terms of GPS and stuff, i would say it depends on firmware, i just flash mine to DXJP1, DX means it from our region(SG/MY), and holy mother of god, the gps is much better than any previous firmware i use. in JPK gps seems useless, in JPH at start it was good, but after i reflash from JPK back to JPH it kinda like useless again. in JP3 it was so so only

but of course upgrade without anything being add-on is just a useless update, so in froyo we get much more than eclair i would say and the upgrade for me is something that i couldnt live with, that why i stay with the leak froyo despite eveything people say.

first of all of course you get the full flash web browse, i could watch video/youtube in webs without using youtube apps, without going into youtube mobile, i could surf facebook quite smoothly i must say and in DXJP1 the flash seems like at it final stage, all smooth no lag, you could also play facebook games, but the interaction are not as easy as computer of course.

then another upgrade that i like is you get a small cursor now in text box, so if you write a looooong words and sentences then you notice got error in the middle, just tap the box and you get a small cursor that easy to drag to move to the error, unlike eclair where we have to struggle to use our BIG finger to tap the cursor between the alphabet 

theres also preview windows for app drawer just like preview windows of our homescreen, pinch it and we could see all the app drawer windows, easy to find that one app in the forest of apps, but its not fully functional yet, as it gets tooooo laggy when there are like 8-10 windows of apps,

yeah..i'm gonna flash to JP1 this weekend...flash to leak froyo then wait for the official one..hehehe

ahh..Ndrive and Sygic also got SEA maps including SG & MY will try papago after this.

PS: i ended up wiping all the SINGTEL animation...i love the original SGS animation!
the bad thing is that  it WIPED my entire APPS !!   

by the way how do you back up all the apps in the future?? lets say when you upgrade to
froyo? do you need to back up all your apps? howd ya do  that?
