create new folder "disable lagfix" in /sd (internal SD) then reboot.

Apply you apply voodoo, it will auto create a folder named "voodoo" in your INTERNAL SD.

So just create a folder name "disable lagfix" inside "voodoo" means = /sd/voodoo/disable lagfix

Then reboot, you will hear a female voice said disable lagfix, leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. just hook it to your charger and leave it until its done

Anyone here using the paid version of Titanium Backup? Am interested in the unattended restore feature. As of now, it's a real pain, having to tap Install and Done on every app - plus the actual data restore procedure after installing takes a loooong time. So was wondering whether the paid version is faster/easier?

Paid user reporting in. The unattended restore works very well - I only use it if I reflashed the same firmware and I want all my apps/data back.

When I jump firmwares though, I don't think it's safe to do unattended restore. Normally, I will reinstall all my apps via appbrain and then restore data from Titanium Backup (e.g. game high scores, SMS & MMS etc).

The thing I like about the paid version is that I can schedule automatic daily backups every 4am (I keep 7 days of backup on the sdcard) which is a big worry-free feature for me.

I use paid version, worth every sen. Restore usually takes less than 10 minutes and is done automatically. If you switch from different rom, untick all the red parameters. OR selectively choose which you want - safe ones are your bookmarks, mail data, messages data, call log, contacts, calendar ( the last 2 provided is same UI - not safe if you are using non Sense UI and later a SENSE UI or vice versa )

Hi,

I disable the sync and reboot the phone. After the phone restart, I recheck again to ensure that the sync is disable.
Then ask my colleague to send sms to me, yes, I'm able to receive.

So I can confirmed that the sync if only for the contact and the Whatsapp is running all the while.
The good news is, if we disable the sync and dont received/sent any sms, I think no data usage for Whatsapp (according to Network Usage in the Whatsapp).

Cheers..

Yep. I agree it *only* works well when restoring on the same fw version. I've restored across firmware versions (the most recent when upgrading from JM5 to JM8) and man, it was a total train wreck. Market links didn't get restored, gtalk refused to launch and downloading apps from the market would get stuck at 'Starting download...'. I also found that LauncherPro doesn't like being restored.

Anyways, one more question: can you do a selective restore and then let the batch takeover and have it all done unattended? That way, I can control what I want to restore and leave system apps out.

Yeah, but that depends on how many apps you're restoring right?

Thanks!

There are a number of unattended restore options available (probably also there in the free version):

Restore Missing Apps with Data
Restore Newer Apps + All System Data
Restore Newer Versions of User Apps
Restore All Apps with Data

I'm guessing you should try the first one after manually restoring or installing selected apps.. I've only tried the last option before, so in my case, it's either all manual restoration or all fully automated.

I know what you mean by the tediousness of having to do things 1 app at a time. The last time I did a major reinstall/restore task, I actually remotely controlled my rooted but freshly flashed phone from the computer, using the 'Droid VNC Server' app on the phone (debugging mode on, adb port forwarding enabled, ultraVNC viewer on PC). Much easier to mouseclick things than to use finger to navigate the phone.. smile.gif
