what degree of tinting to let people can't see through inside?

It it legal or illegal because i saw many cars have the tinting that can't let people see through them..Kindly advise

i tinted up to 95% for rear window and people cannot see what happen inside my car.

of course 95% is illegal .

lol..if get caught,what action will the police take?

By the way,i heard that double layer tint is inside can see through but outside people couldn't see in there? Is it true and is it legal?

My mum's car is tinted with 90% black tints on all windows except the front. Its illegal but she's exempted under JPJ rules. Its kind of hell to drive it during night time.

JPJ only allows 30% tints infront, and 50% for other windows.

But there is no way that can make your window to black until people can't see through you and legal by JPJ?

if lucky enough , they will tear down those illegal tint ( That why i put cheap dark tint for second layer of tint)

Try to choose those tints with shiny or reflective surfaces. They are usually harder to see through during day or night from outside.

use 60%-70% dark tinted better as u can see outside better n blur shadow driving when look from outside, polis also cant do anything unless they use scanner

They aren't blind or have poor vision.

For windscreen : 70% VLT, side windows and rear glass : 50%

TS : If you're willing to get pulled over at each road blocks, spend time on inspection or wasting time on tinting and got tear up at road blocks, by all means please proceed. Otherwise, comply the rules. Most brands I know offers 42-48% tinted, which means 62-68% VLT, it is safe from JPJ. For front, most suggests to have clear tint, save you from windscreen shattering to your eyes. If you put darker tint, it will be dangerous for night driving.

Visible light transmitted. In other terms, 30% dark for windscreen, 50% dark for the rest.

I myself 40% dark for all windows except windscreen, clear tint. 50% should be dark, but pretty visible to see what's inside, better it is night or day.

and i heard they tear it down using knife or screwdriver..just scratch it like that..so it will 'hurt' ur glass.

Is there a way to register from JPJ to get darker tinting? :S Still wonder how come so many people can get so dark window and when road block,the police never ask them to stop

i put 50% tint all around.
at night it gets abit dark if ur not used to it.

also instead of getting darker tints to prevent ppl from watching u jack off in ur car, u can try using more reflective ones.

yeah..this is more helpful.. so if i get the 50% with shiny surface, would b considered to be more than 50% if the police use their naked eyes to judge?..pls advise..

even with lighter tints,if ur interior is totally black theres more chance it'll be less visible.i use sunshade to cover whole rear screen

Darker tint can be applied from JPJ, for as long you have solid reasons i.e security or health. Those govt agencies with solid black tint also applied from JPJ.

Not sure about this, but as long it is less than 50%, should be fine I guess. I've heard that reflective ones also illegal. Maybe for windscreen only because it could glare the opposite direction during day time.

IMHO..unless u are VVVVVIP(etc: +ve like minister, or -ve like loan shark(scared ppl assasainate at the traffic light) and so on..) or u want to do some illegal action inside ur car (etc: make love , take drug and so on...) otherwise u wont break the rules..afternun very hot is not a valid reason...

But dont get those China.You will notice some sticky and unheaven surface.

I tint double layer, first layer is heat rejection ray tech quite clear, then second layer 60% dark tint, after awhile the dark tint faded. If you dont want ppl to see inside i recommend to tint darker coz it will fade.

Double layer tint look like any other tint just darker only, depends you tint how many percent. I tint second layer coz first layer not dark enough. Tinting dont need to inform jpj. If road block and your tint too dark then they will stop you for vlt test.

What so important for u to get a dark insight?U can only apply for special excuse if u're medically proven either ur skin or eyes can't take direct sunlight.

hey all, i just got my car and tint it with security tint from SolarTint shop, it says VLT 58% or 50%(forgot 58 / 50), they told me jpj approved, but then i see.. is so damn dark.. how do i know is jpj approved? =d
