in some review it said keep data off when the screen when to sleep and on back when you reactivate it when you on back... that is stupid when u need push emails totally disable the pushing... but you can tune it a lil here and there... will tryout and let you guys know... but not that fast already coz i'll go SG for 2 days so wednesday only can try on my regular usage... smile.gif

I've been using Juice Defender + Ultimate Defender since day one. About the activation of data when screen is on, actually all my GMail, Yahoo Mail and Imap emails works flawlessly. You can configure to let JD to make connection for 15 seconds for every 30 minutes and let it control your sync setting. You can adjust it to whatever setting you like. Furthermore, if you use ur phone for internet sharing, need to configure the traffic setting or JD will disconnect the data connection when you're idle (Only happen when tethering, not with the phone).

My advise is... running JD alone is not worth it. You need the extra plugin (UD) which is a paid app to see the difference.

using the 16gb for more than a week already... no problem at all... used about 6gb...
i know but u need rooting for UD isn't it?? tried using the JD but mostly they limited my connection to Edge only, maybe our signal of 3G here is too weak... trying that for a week and see

Nope. Still running unrooted stock rom. Visit the developer website, he offered alternative purchasing method.

1199 is RRP, Recommended Retail Price set by SIS. Seller can offer lower but it will eat up their profit (Most online seller can go below RRP coz of little overhead). More than RRP, you've been conned.

You can call SIS anytime to check the RRP so at least you know the ceiling price.

Yeap. Please do switch on the network discovery when you're receiving file from other devices to your Wildfire. (for those who don't know)
*
For first time only and if you did not want to make a permanent pairing. Otherwise, you just turn on the bluetooth and it will connect to any available trusted devices it can find.

*Permanent pairing requires both devices to accept each other.

Update:...

I just played around with my Nokia Symbian. It seems that the default setting when switching on the bluetooth is "Shown To All" which same as turning on the "Discoverable" in Android. Android is more to deny first allow later than Symbian approach when using bluetooth. No wonder, virus easily spread among Nokia phones in those days...

Guys...how do you connect to internet from PC via your Wildfire?

I've tried several times just now, connected (Mobile Internet Sharing), but no data traffic on my PC. Only phone show data in/out jer.

Please advise.

Try disabling any firewall in your pc and test it. I've problem with it, I've to disable my Bit Defender firewall then the traffic pass through.

Should wait till HTC come out with another new model cycle. hmm.gif Maybe HTC Desire FullHD with 3D sunglasses, 12MP camera, blah blahh blahh and running Honeycomb hahahah biggrin.gif then I will start to ditch my current android. Think of it, would next generation phone is same as tablet, when you purchase it, you have bluetooth handset FOC since you cannot hold it at ur face.

Based on current LCD size... HD is 4.3. Another 0.7 it looks like tablet like Dell Streak.

Well, for me, I might not able to own both Desire Z & HD. Just renew my 2 years phone lifecycle with Wildfire and Desire a month ago. Need to wait another 2 years. I wonder, what the smartphone market will offer in another 2 years.
