For engineers to be, from recent interviews interviewers are consistent on these two things:

1. FYP. Reason: They want to know what skills u learn from the project and how u handle that project.
Strategy: If it ur project, advantage to u since u know the inside out of that project. If not, at least check the manual or ask other people how it works.

2. Most remembered uni activity. Reason: To know how well u work in a team, how well u handle stress and confrontation.
Strategy: If it is a real experience with "painful" memories, try to use positive words. Dont lie and at least said u learn a lot from that experience. If it leadership position, tell them how is ur management style. If u r just a normal member, tell how your effort make profit for the team

If u dont join any activities, u r f up. Just try to pick any assignment or groupwork in ur course that need a team and describe your contribution.
