Hi there

I'm a fresh grad and currently looking for a job. I have attended 7 interviews so far.

After a certain company conducted 1st interview with me and then they call me again to attend another 2nd interview from same company same post but diff dept that I had applied earlier....seems that they sent my resume to another dept after my 1st interview. What does that means? Do i have slimmer chance to get the 1st job that I had applied on first hand as they need experienced ones for the post but higher chance to get the 2nd one that they recommended to me at first?

Btw, i asked them how many candidates for that 1 vacancy for the 2nd job they recommended me and she said only me and another person..means that I have 50-50 chance....guess that I need to work more on this interview this friday...

One last ques....What shud I ask during Q&A after the interview had finished?
Normally, I would ask about my job scope and responsibilities, will I able to attend the training or any career advancement and finally I asked about other allowances, benefits and salary...

What do u guys normally ask during interview? hmm.gif

in addition to the above, try to ask for the highest pay YOU think is acceptable... it doesn't hurt to do so, as the company will already have decided whether they will hire you before they ask you "How much you think you should get?"... if they have decided to hire you, they'll bargain with you if your price is too high... if they have decided NOT to hire you, they're just asking the question out of courtesy, won't take you in no matter how cheap you are...

does yr post applicable for fresh grad?

they already stated in the interview that standard salary for fresh grad is that amount so I can't bargain much also as I'm still have no experience...

will i get affected for shortlisting if I ask how much the salary during interview? will it give me a bad impression? ohmy.gif

Do u have any experience a underwriter? If yes, they will ask u on technical ques but if no then they will mostly ask on yr curiculum activities or personality. Sometimes they will ask some common ques like 'wat u see yrself in 5 years time...wat is yr strength and weaknesses...'
