in addition to the above, try to ask for the highest pay YOU think is acceptable... it doesn't hurt to do so, as the company will already have decided whether they will hire you before they ask you "How much you think you should get?"... if they have decided to hire you, they'll bargain with you if your price is too high... if they have decided NOT to hire you, they're just asking the question out of courtesy, won't take you in no matter how cheap you are...
