This is the latest offerin frm epsons mid range for d US launchin ard now.. its de successor to de 8100 series..

Any comments on tis? I m askin is cos , well , for its askin prc ... its tempting..

How much?

Looking from its spec (2000 lumens & 1080p), it actually great. But I think it expensive and still not available in malaysia yet.
This 8350 model is same look like EH-TW3500 that already in malaysia market.

Buy from US (I think it will be termed asＴＷ３６００　here if it is marketed here. It is US1275 on amazon - but I think it is possible to get it around 1000-1100 in other retail outlet in US (with coupon). It comes in world voltage 120-240v, so no need to buy separate adapter. I think Epson's projector is really expensive here and if I ever want to buy another one again, i will buy from US (via Vpost or things like that)

JVC hd250 should be more than RM 10K here.

I tink it is significantly more than 10k.. my calculation ..
Panny ae4k is USD2.1k => RM13.5k
Jvc hd250 is USD3k[strt prc is slightly lower] => wat do u tink local prc wil be??

I believe the local model TW3500 is the equivalent to the US model 8100 (predecessor to 8350) BTW, how much is TW3500 selling in Malaysia? In Hong Kong, it is going for HK$16,XXX

I am now eying on the 8350 too. Hopefully it can reach the Asia Pacific shore by Feb 2011. If it is selling cheap in HK (as in same price in USA), I am flying to HK on AirAsia in Mar 2011, I may just get it there.

Specs aside..

D reflctiv lcd tech sounds a lot like d LCOS tech.. I heard epson is goin down tat route.. But I dont tink tis is gonna be affordable.. least of all for us thrd world countrys..

I hv tat same pj .. Ur link says its RM10k which if true is really worth it since d panny ae4k retails for 13k here n most rvws beat d panny dwn where pq is concerned[but d panny does hv a trick lense..]

Initial observations :

Hooked up d hd 250 a coupla nites ago -
My shlf almost couldn t fit tis pj.. had to go dig sum holes on one side so as to allow d exos vent sum hot air - stil gets d wood a bit warm aftr a mv..thou'
Frst d gud stuff - man this baby jvc rocks - pq is fantastic - I dunno if its becos its native 1080p or becos of d dila lcos tech but its breathtakin - colours pop n its a lot brighter than my tw700.. no more sde but if u go really close like 8inches to d scrn u can discern sum grid marks on white surfaces[not on color thou']
Settin up is a breeze wif d auto everytin n when it was first swtchd on, my family went ooooooo cos ther is n auto cvr for d lens as well - cool or wat..
hvnt calibrtd yet but at d moment it luks so gud I dnt hv d heart to fiddle wif it..
Now - one con.. we wtchd spy nxt door first all thru n since it was early decided to follow it up wif contact.. in d instance tat d 2nd ttl was bein loaded up d hd250 lost d pic.. ther was sound but no pics n wat was weird was tat when I 'menued' d oppo to add subttls or change odo, d pics came on.. aftr fiddlin wif all I could tink of - in my hrt was like o man tats gonna be a veri exp torch lite, I jus bot.. anyway I trd turnin d avr off then on again n walla.. d pics came bck on.. as usual pq is simply outstandin ..

To recap.. d followin morng, I tried to recreate tis scenario wif d same ttl, but d pj synced jus fine.. I even went ahead n changd frm my oppo 981 sd plyr n then to d bd80 n it workd great [normal coupla seconds to change] .. weird indeed..
BTW.. d sd pq is ooso better than d tw700.. cant explain why since its stil being fed a upscaled pic only..

More observations when I get more acquantd ..
