Firmware update for NEX-5, NEX-3 A firmware upgrade (Version 4) adds the new ‘Picture Effect’ function to existing NEX-5 and NEX-3 cameras. It also adds a Peaking function to assist with more precise manual focusing. This upgrade will be available June 20th and can be downloaded from: (www.esupport.sony.com). Nex-C3 is announced, btw. http://www.dpreview.com/news/1106/11060818...exc3preview.asp

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 8 2011, 02:33 PM) If you are lookin at IQ wise, all NEX 5 and NEX c3 wouldn't vary much. NEX 7 is rumoured to be bigger with more manual controls and a different sensor. Nex C3 is using a newer sensor compared to Nex5. 16.2MP sensor compared to 14.2MP, which I suspect is the same sensor as the one in A55/A580.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Jun 8 2011, 02:47 PM) NEX is interesting for me cos of the tilty screen... useful for shorter kids. At least don't have to bend down like when using dslr. Actually I don't think got diff also considering the currently cacat-ed e-mount glasses. By the time they release new glass... NEX-C3 also become obsolete di. true... But can use manual lenses ma (although I don't own any). But using the Picture Effect in video should be interesting...
