[WTA] IS X2 555 BE 1008DPMW good for unlocking?, Anyone using the same batch?

I plan to build a new rig for HTPC purpose. I would prefer to get 555 and unlock it to run as quad core processor, but I being told that the new batch of 555 are not unlock-able? Any opinion on this?
