here is a perfectly good audio jack

oops! i wrecked it for no raisins at all

you can directly solder into 50cents jack that you bought or....

yes, buy shrink tube...its dirt cheap and got many colors. buy 5.0 diameter
here is the estimated length

don't leave the hot solder iron on the plug too long, just a 1-2 secs will do.... do it real quick

oops! i wrecked it for no raisins at all again
use hot glue sticks if you don't have shrink tube....just use that damn big lighter to heat it up

i'm high from the fumes =) its ugly but it works

its a one of old plantronics, but i still love this headphone. would be great if someone can create a tutorial on how to do it.

1. Firstly, what do i need?
2. can use the old plug or not?

pics will come around lunchtime. biggrin.gif

The headphone

Only left side is working, no sound from right side.
On the other note : how much will this damage cost me if i send to jaben?

at least you got options to reuse old plug with hot glue or shrink wrap if you don't like the 50sen plug without calling PcWork or j***n just to tell them 'ok i'll think about it' when you ask the price =)

1st of all, thank you BeggermAster, though I would have preferred to solder over using hot glue for cosmetic reasons...

heh, thank you too
yes, i soldered the connections before attaching options of
1. 50cents worth of 3.5 audio jack
2. tube heat shrik
3. hot glue stick
you can choose which you prefer if you decide a quick durable fix
