"Parcel No Date Time Process Office

ENxxxxMY 30-Sep-2010 09:10 Courier is attempting delivery PPL KOTA KINABALU"

cry.gif Still waiting for my CE to arrive...

Hello to all
I'll be joining Gysahl. Hopefully it will be an easy process. Heard that it's very packed and hard to find open slot for that world. I'm ex-FFXI player from Garuda. Don't know what to do with my Kraken Club now cry.gif

Is Afterlife still recruiting members? I initially planed to join Wutai, but all my ex-FFXI friends going Gysahl...

One question I would like to ask is, does the game let my type japanese? I saw from a few V back that I can choose the language to install the game? If i did choose JP, does that mean the whole game will be in JP instead of Eng?

eh, where to key in the bonus item code in? need key in prior making new character or after?
*
In your SE account, select the services > Final Fantasy XIV > add services > key in code

and key in prior to making new character.

The slot for code that i had only 4 slots while in the add services there got 5 slots, is it there?
*
that 4 sequence code is other stuff.. which till now i didn't bother to understand. it's register by going to the given website, then after you log in, the top right of the page will show your member detail, just under that will be the button "Register your game " something like that, click it and input your 4 sequence code.

Anyone can help for registration? I already install habis, cannot play due to registration issue?

Which country you guy chosen?
*
mengdez, the registration process is quite complicated unlike usual mmorpg. I suggest you take a look at the manual, inside there's a step by step guide.

anyone experiencing something like motion blur during cutscenes? I'm using ATI HD 5870, tried playing around with the video setting but to no avail? is it because I didn't use ffshow(?forgot what was it, i select the don't show again tick box and now i cannot find it anymore)

problem I'm facing during cut-scenes are
1. if objects move fast ( camera phasing fast) objects will appear blur
2. i'm using a samsung 24inch full HD monitor, about 1/3 from the bottom of the screen to the middle, there'll be a 1inch thick line which is totally blur when object movement is seen.

gameplay-wise, everything is superb.. just that during video play, it's kinda annoying..

any suggestion?

Everytime when I felt like playing, mouse hover over FF14 shorcut, then think for 2mins, finally forget about wanting to play the game sad.gif

I can only patiently await new patch and hopefully is about improving current problems sad.gif

Final Fantasy XIV on Gamespot

This is so so so true to what I feel about the game right now. I was so blur to how I felt about the game. The author putting everything into words, finally describe the aimlessness, lost and the lack of fun/adventure i felt, to a very clear level.

Wonder when better improvement will be implemented....... cry.gif

i already heartbroken when SE couldnt provide fair rate for payment.. even blizzard could do almost fair rate (14.99USD for NA and 12.99EURO/8.99POUND for EU)
*
yea, and to use 3rd party for payment.. orz..

Maybe I think too much of how i started FFXI.. Look at my sig.. PhyLv 15, RnkLv .....
When I started FFXI during 1yr after NA launch(was 2003 if i'm correct), 1 week already Lv30, does not need to bother with crafting if I've totally no interest in it. Join BCNM to earn money to buy what I need. Then either chill out chatting and joking with new met friends, or forming party to grind levels. These are AIMS for me in the game. FFXIV - limits quest to take, wait 24/36hrs reset, new equip expensive from npc(expected), high price from ppl's bazaars. (well, gil is easily earn if joining ppl leve quest, especially at 15ppl group, but it's so boring repeating same thing and party is buggy now.)

JOB! yea, depends on how one feel. main in a class, while skill can be mix and match for your liking. but it's hard to find someone that you need in party. e.g you tought that GLA is a tank, but then he focus everything in STR for offense.... . maybe this still need some time to sink in

Seriously, FFXIV is forcing me to level craft, which I have no patience for, and not only 1 craft! it's like I need to be jack of all trade... darn... I think I better stop stalking FFXIV topics, It's really depressing for a FF fan like myself. I kept hoping I won't need to wait 1-2yrs for everything to be enjoyable.

I wonder why people kept defending the game and saying it is great and then chase away others who commented about the problems of the game.

The few problems mentioned over and over in reviews and forums are there. It is really there and it is a fact. Then all the fans doesn't want to admit it and blinded. They kept thinking this is a masterpiece and a great game.

Well if SE behaves in such way, then they won't improve the game because like most of the fans, thy think their game is so great and flawless. Please, we commented not because we hate the game. We love the game but disappointed with the game with so much potential yet delivered badly.

Some said it is super new and fresh game so problems are suppose to be there. Unless SE is super new in gaming and mmorpg industry, they shouldn't have missed out BASIC flaws and problems which even FREE BETA mmorpg manages to think of.  We don't do the same mistake all over again as if they never make any game/mmorpg before.

I like the game but at this moment it is in a very bad shape. I agree with what gamespot said. Clear your mind and don't be so defensive and read/watch the reviews. You will see that THERE ARE PROBLEMS NEED TO BE SOLVED. Don't chase people away with arrogant comments.

SE needs more subscribers and I don't think they make the game just to please the hardcores. Everything is up to SE now.  My friends are quitting and some are laughing at me for paying for such game.  Even worst after gamespot 4/10 reviews and soon more bad reviews popping out all with same issues. Yet fans denied such issues exists...
*
I do agree with you. Exactly what i experienced. I'm a fanboy of FF series too i guess, played every series since nintendo era. In the beginning, kept finding reasons/giving excusses for SE on issues of the game, but now, I'll just admit it's a total failure (For this moment that is). When a player can't easily enjoy the richness of the game due to simple issues that exist ( For me the most hated issues now are UI laggy-ness and no quick short cut for inventory, stat, etc), one can only tolerate so much until one has to open eyes and see that it is flawed. Honestly, I cannot find enjoyment right now (I'm speaking only for my own that is). I'll just log in 1-2 hour to clear some leve, so that my char is still progressing and not left too too far behind when everything is polished in the future(hopefully within 3 months time)

I hope that I didn't offend anyone, my rant is just for myself, on how i feel toward an FF Numbered game which I always love, but didn't met my level of anticipation. Many friends of mine went back to FFXI, I was quite surprise actually, since most of us already quit for 1-2yrs. Mostly are to feel what's it like reaching the new cap levels, but actually, many went back XI to get their assurance on squareenix that XIV will be polished to a great game like XI now.

oh well, i'm getting off topic.. tongue.gif

the above is ps3 controller instruction. other alternatives are xbox controller, logitech rumble 2, ps2 controller. may have other choices, didnt research much.

Try using a controller to play, it's really much more bearable. Since pressing one button brings up menu, using right stick to turn camera, etc, it made the somewhat laggy UI becomes faster in response.

I finally felt that it's fun after changing to use controller lol.
