Hey guys, now I realize that I can't browse through my phonebook when I'm typing an SMS if someone requests for a contact number of another person. Anything to resolve this or it can be done?

Welcome, rooted meaning you obtained the admin level of your phone, you able to modify the system files.
you only be able to take screen shoot, change CPU frequency, re-flashing firmware, uninstall stock apps, etc after rooted

Root will void warranty and bring unstable to the system, not recommend tonewbies

agreed, me too.. ive been using winmo for quite a while, so i cud rly2 feel the differences,, love the snappiness of android.. hehee.. some shops even say that its even faster than iphone.. im not sure though. never tested the diff with iphone

So far the apps i using are Handcent sms, papago, ATK, facebook, barcode scanner, Tubemate, Android System Info, QQ Handwriting, GPS Test, GPS Booster, ColorDict, RockPLayer, 天天动听, Astro File Manager, Applanet, Android Master. The must have apps are highlighted................

Thanks bro, just install Handcent SMS but it shows as 160/160 on my rooted device. Normally on my WM there's no limit. Is there anwyay to set it to unlimited SMS storage subject to your SD card memory availability? Also, notice that when I goto My files still only shows the SD card location, thought can view the main memory etc.? TIA for your help.

The sms limit can be set in the "setting" in stock messaging apps.............default is 200 sms
if you wanna show the phone directory (rooted only), you may try "root explorer"
