Have any one of you encountered wifi problems when connecting to Market?

When I turn on the wifi, I'm able to see the wifi symbol, but when I do a search in Market for a program, after sometime it shows disconnected and then Market shows disconnected.
*
smile.gif I dint facing this problem..............

Hi there, Im new to this forum, I bought this phone 1 month ago in India, really budget phone, the only problems I have found so far are:

If Charging from Wall socket gives better battery load than USB, something weird but true, when charign from wall socket(6 hours plugged) I had 3 days in a row of battery but, while charging thru USB my battery last 1-2 days

Wifi problems with hidden networks, when you are out of range, it simply stops working and althought it connects back browsers cant find websites, at my office we Hide the ssid broadcast of our network and I can barely use the network, at home my router has SSID Broadcast enabled, and the network runs smooth.

Apart from that (I think a Firmware update & Froyo) The phone rocks. I so recommend this phone for a nice Android experience.

Anyone has tried www.samfirmware.com? I found some guides to upgrade the Firmware and I am waiting for the weekend to give it a try, maybe it can fix GPS/Wifi problems mentioned in this topic.

Ill be posting my experiences.

BTW I think everybody Must Try Layar.

See you all soon.

This phone really rocks, for the price, the performance, n specilly for Android,

Hi, 1st I want thanks to StupidGuyPlayComp. I thought for a long time for buying this phone, I made up my decision after seeing his introduction. The phone is awesome!
But I have some question to ask.
1. Is Samsung Apps supported?
2. How to change the main menu colour?
3. How to save msgs to sim?
Thank you.

i've tried I5508ZNJH1 and I5508ZCJH2.both are chinese language. should be not a big problem since we can change the language but when i flash to this FW, my screen become disable..so i can unlock the phone to change the language rclxub.gif

now i'm using I5500XWJG9..it's Euro language (donno what is it..maybe France / Germany). So we need to change it to English

smile.gif It should be normal situation for the unbroadcast SSID, the phone wont auto connect after you out range, if it doing such the battery will drain fast as it need keep scanning the wifi device

hmm.gif samfirmware?because it was a 2.1, I not planning to flash, the changing is minor

1. For the GPS u have to Switch off the phone with GPS on, and switch on again. And u must use it at outdoor, indoor cannot use de.

2. For the papago, after u install PAPAGO X5 on phone u must copy the NAVI folder to SD Card 1st folder. Root means just copy to SD Card, not in any folder.

smile.gif Your Papago X5 has successfully install................

next, try these step, might can help

1.Go to "Setting" - Location & Security - Use Wireless Networks(always keep tick)
2.Go to "Setting" - Location & Security - Use GPS Satellite (always keep tick)
3.Go to Android market download and install the apps "GPS Booster"
4.Restart phone
5.Go to outdoor (without tall building surrounding within 100m)
6.Open Papago

1st 1-3 times might need longer locking time, later will get better and better

Optional : You can download "GPS Test" at Android market to view the satellite connection status
