I still prefer Android based Tablet if there are one. smile.gif Recently, Android apps have reached 100K apps. Great news! Positive competition to Apple.

Samsung has launched its Galaxy tablet in Malaysia. Was in Sunway Pyramid to view the latest Samsung gadget. All units were snapped up by eager purchasers, at a price of RM2699! Not cheap. At that price I'd rather get an iPad. Moreover, it's smaller and yet to be proven.

well, the advantage of Galaxy Tab is mobility... it's easier to carry around than iPad... 7" is smallest tolerable size for a tablet, which imho will be the direction that many makers would go...

besides, u can make call with Galaxy Tab, that makes it 1 more useful feature than iPad...

to say that Galaxy Tab (or Android tablet as a whole ) is unproven pretty much means u ve been living in ur own world... Android has proved time and again it is and will be the biggest opponent of iOS... it took Android only 3yrs to be on par with, if not better than, iOS... also, Galaxy Tab is not the first Android tablet in the world... Archos already have released their range of tablets 1 or 2 mths earlier in the US...

Sigh, I just bought my iPad and this news comes up.
Somemore the fact that I am a BB phone user makes me regret even more...

But then again, this is a healthy competition. It will prompt apple to improve its iPad on the 2nd gen, and finally, it is we consumers who will untung... smile.gif
