Should I change my n97 mini to N900 ? I was really amazed with meamo OS instead of old symbian 5th and the new ^3 . Nothing big different changed from 5th and ^3 . Beside should I wait for the next internet tablet like N920 said from rumors with meamo 6 ? Suggestion from guys pls . Ty

You can use WinSCP to copy the files.Guide is at frontpage.
After dumping the icons you can proceed to change the icons.

alien which meego image did u flash??? been wrestling with the idea of giving the pre-builds a try, since somehow, i think i've messed up my mce.ini, so neither my notification lights, nor keyboard backlights are working. due for a reflashing,

Added on October 21, 2010, 4:46 amwell dual boot with meego ler. the problem before is that meego is using a diff kernel. the pr1.3 will update the kernel for maemo, allowing the bootage of meego. dunno, wether it'll be possible to triple boot with nitroid, since i read somewhere that the boot loader we're using might not work.

A) The functionality you're looking for ( what you wanna use yer phone for )
B) Wether your interested in having a phone where you love tweaking the os, theming, etc . I was a symbian user before this, and i mastered all ( even custom rom flashing ) tweaks and hacks. In fact my n82 was the 2nd n82 to be hacked by FCA the now infamous hacker who cracked permissions on s60.

personally i can say that i don't regret buying this phone, and have only minor gripes because it does exactly what i need it too, has a fully manually customizable theme-ing system, its traught me about linux. Always seems to be expanding its functionality, is unique ( i'm the only person i know who owns one. very few of them even know about it or have seen it around ) and lastly it has what i consider my favourite phone factor design to date. the touchscreen with a slide out qwerty. oh yeah, also i prefer the n900's resistive screen, what can i say i prefer accuracy, and browsing the net is still best with a stylus with a device with a screen this size, love this explanation by user Alex Atkin UK on talk.maemo :



so take some time to do some research on the n900. If you're willing to spend a little time and effort doing that, then , you may be a future n900-a-holic like some of us here,

If u have the patient you should wait like Nokia N8 since it announce like may this year it only launch on october. Since N920 not even announce yea u can start wondering how long to wait.

Problem solve.. sigh.. wasting my whole nite to search what really happen to my device.. flash 2 time with different firmware.. still cant enter ovi store.. finally find its somethin to do with "Hide User Agent" that master Alien mention b4. Damn.. if i could understand him earlier..

BTW test my device to overclock to 1150 but but it cant stand the heat..lolz.. trying until 950 still reboot.. now stick to 900 that seem stable for my device.. any1 had OC their device higher than 900 without any issue..??

im using xterminal to OC to 250min 900 max then using cpufreqUI Apps to OC to 1150..

1150Mhz produce so much heat, my baby oso cant reli survive.. then i OCed to 900 Mhz.. stable but drain battery..
now im using 850Mhz and works fine for 1 month ;D

thats why u need provide specific information before the problem occur. I got problem i cant open web browser? No one can expect the problem.

I think master Alien understand what had happen to my device.. & he already reply about it.. its just me who do not understand what he mean by "user agent"... & i cant provide specific info about it coz i dont know how it suddenly act like that.. coz i install Hide User Agent apps earlier but didnt encounter any problem.. its just yesterday its happen that i cant enter ovi store & it ask me to upgrade my firmware b4 i can enter but i already got latest firmware..

BTW its solve now & i take it as learning process.. tks 4 master aspire 4 giving a feedback regarding this matter.. & hope u forgive my noobness..

i oc-ed my phone to 1ghz. heat is ok. battery life more or less the same compared to 900mhz. i'm using titan's ideal settings.

anybody can guide me how to use Autodisconnect ? how to set wifi auto disconnect ?
