Yup
Just reach home...
I was there earlier, went to Nokia Shop at Gardens to try the demo set first and already have good impression over previous S^1. Can say big improvement over S^1.
I haven't really been using Symbian^1 for long time already, my last phone was N81, which I change to N900 around January this year. I have played with N97 Mini a few times, so from N97 Mini, N8 can consider quite a big improvement in terms of smoothness and performance.
That was just the short demo experience in Nokia Shop.
When I'm testing it during the Ranger Program, I tried multi-tasking while the music playing in background, even run OVI Maps. Surprisingly, throughout the whole process, the music playback isn't affected at all. For N900, I've experience some playback problems while multi-tasking.
But then, I think for N8, the multi-tasking is not true multi-tasking like N900? I think only certain core apps/process have true multi-task? Not sure, have to test out further...
There're actually many nice features on the N8, like the social network integration, online widgets update, etc. It was demo-ed by the Product Manager, Glen; Wanted to record it down but feel shy and not sure allowed or not
And the introduction and explanation on the Nokia Ranger program by Thomas from Nokia Singapore was funny, they took snapshots of lowyat.net forums, the Nokia Rangers poster (created by someone from Power Rangers The Movie?), LoL! Epic! and I also saw aspire2oo6 profile was part of the screen capture; Not sure aspire is there or not? Didn't see him?
Btw, NFS Shift and Angry Bird are.... FREE!!!! Yes.... FREE!!!!!
What I don't like on the N8 is mainly the Mono Speaker.... you can tell the difference just by hearing on the playback; Although one can plug in headset, but sometimes some people do play music or movies or watch YouTube, etc. without headset/earphone or external speaker (e.g. You want to show your friend a video...)...
What I hope it have:
1. Physical keyboard
2. RAM... RAM... More RAM... (although so far haven't experience problems; but it might be different after I fully customize the homescreen, etc....)
No time to test all of it; Have many things to do... busy busy busy...
