i would be happy to see a reply to this as i'm going to be a fresh grad with expected income between RM1800-RM2300(gross)...
now I'm 23yo.
the only commitment now is my PTPTN loan (RM110x10years).

I need to save a lot for my marriage (2years after employed) since I'm planning to buy a house with joint-loan.
but, i have to buy a car for working purpose.

thanks!

I guess no need to wait longer....
unless, there will be an unexpected problem arise(financial)....
I also think this will help both of us to get a better loan for a better house since both are not getting high pay like some of the members here..

Hi there!

I'm 24 and I just finished my study. Today is my first day of working (private).
My salary will be RM1600(gross). No other allowance.

My commitment is only RM100 for PTPTN (10years).
I'm thinking of saving RM500/month. (Now I have nothing - ZERO)

I don't have a car (using our family car for now) but will buy it soon as I need to travel.
Where should I start to have a good financial management.

Should I save the RM500/month in ASB?
Should I apply for CC to have a good record to apply PL? (Marriage purpose in maybe 2 years time).
Should I buy a second hand car? (what is the max amount should I consider?)
Any other things to be considered?
Thanks everyone!

Morning everyone...

As mentioned before, I've just started working last week.
My salary is RM1600 gross. Planning to save RM500/mth. So, left RM900.

I need to get a car asap since I need to travel around from KL/Selangor, N9, Melaka & JB due to my job requirement.
Should I get a used car below rm30k or get the Graduate scheme for let say Myvi? I'm considering Myvi because of its fuel consumption is low.

do you get fuel allowance for travelling? if yes, should go for new car, if not, just buy some old car below 20k.

because, if you want to buy old car more than 20k, the loan itself will cost you about 300-400 monthly plus high maintenance and rosak sana sini.

Thanks for your reply.
Not in the term of fuel allowance but I can claim the mileage and tolls..
