Read any good books lately? By the way, I deem the first two books as soooooo OMPH! that I buy several copies of them during book sales and give them to my team members and close friends. Wait lar - when I'm a multi-millionaire in POUND STERLING terms, then I'll buy and give them away to all friends & acquaintances ;P

I use credit card v rebate at this moment . Maybank American Express v RM 50 rebate for every RM 1000 (capped) spend. It's mean 5%. Since I'm going to use to buy groceries, petrol , outside food, I assume is 5% rebate.
But I have to be very discipline to clear all in a month without any outstanding. Each time I swipe the card, I put the cash in a coin box together v the receipt. At the end month, the total money in the coin box is slightly more compare to the actual amount I have to pay (due to rebate). The extra I put in another box. This is how I save by spending.

Please bear in mind not all merchant accept American Express... Hehe:)

So u pay your credit kad wif cash every month? For me is i transfer use m2u.

Dun think i will haf the cash everytime i use credit kad. Like sometimes spend few hundred or maybe thousand. Sure dun haf the cash to put box.

Cz if I use transfer, my bank money will deplete even faster. ( because I dun see the money physically ) this how I discipline my self. If I dun have enuff cash, I will tell my self stop swiping that card.. Haha.

Few hundred yes. Few thousands no. Like if I buy furniture, then have to use transfer but only once in the blue moon because v dun buy furniture everyday right.

keeping cash in box, tracking in excel, paying off via online banking are just methods to check spending via credit, not to overspend. everyone will have own methods and thinking and it's good to share out different ideas. i agree with you that if one has discipline, then there is no need to track but honestly speaking, how many of us have bought something we WANT but do not NEED? I can honestly put my hands up high to that question. We are only human.

Agree with that.

Is just the matter of methods doing self control. I'm the one keeping money in the box but depends on situation.
