QUOTE(izwanz @ Jul 25 2013, 09:38 AM) 9 months but I am confirmed now. The situation is that I have zero savings. I think I should have that emergency funds at least 6 months then consider acquiring a unit. Renting sucks and sharing a rooftop can be difficult if you don't know the other occupants really well. the interest rate is just higher. are you bumi bro? if it is i think it's a good option. for a unit of rm140k i still you still have some spare left.Tentatively the location is somewhere in Damansara Perdana. I think that is the only area within my affordability. My office is in Damansara Heights by the way. Any ideas of a good mortgage plan? I am looking at the MBSB first home buyer package where you don't have to put down payment, but I am sure there's a catch somewhere. |

QUOTE(Kaka23 @ Aug 5 2013, 05:05 PM) that's because his thrifty ma.. I believe the scholarship mentioned includes allowance and they are paying him in USD probably studying oversea. Every penny you don't spent will accumulate and for someone at the age of 27 he could be talking about the only few profession which would take him approx. 10 years to complete his studies. |

When compare this guy with rm150k to a guy that a millionaire before 30, this rm150k is nothing. So, don't compare others to yourself. Just do it what is capability and advantages. Find ur own way and duplicate the success that u perceived is right strategy. |

I need help how to allocate/save RM3000-RM5000 as I want to give this money as a present for my little sister wedding january next year and some money for me to invest for ASB. Also I want to buy Samsung Galaxy S4(RM2200) as a birthday present for my mom next month. Also need a proper financial management advise as I'm a terrible manager myself. QUOTE(ak101ss @ Aug 14 2013, 10:41 AM) Not enough liquid asset for rainy day.. that investment i consider as commitment/debt as I was forced into it and I have no access for its capital/dividends for 20 years. Public Mutual = no access for 20 years??? who forced u??? rule of thumb, BEFORE U INVEST, u must have a reserve of some liquid assets for emergencies, 3-12 months of ur expenses depending on ur job security |

Parents le, who else want to force.. rule of thumb, BEFORE U INVEST, u must have a reserve of some liquid assets for emergencies, 3-12 months of ur expenses depending on ur job security Job is somewhat equivalent to government job, very secure, but very minimal increment. Promotion also rarely will happen. I know about that rule of thumb for a reserve of 9 months of debts+expenses, but what to do le, parents overpower me le.. |
