Branded CRT TV normally use less power than OEM/China brand.
Branded 21" ~60W, 29" ~100-120W
OEM brand 29" easily go 140W
Slim TV consume more power, even branded one. 21" ~80-90W

doh.gif LCD far more less power la my 17: monitor use 68watt vs samsung 17.5" use 34watt
your crisis apply to plasma , not lcd

no need to consider if u wanna upgrade to LED tv, if u got the cash.
benefit of LED on backlit LCD is less power consumption ,less heat ,brightness can go until pitch black ,obtain more higher color contrast
less emf coz no more C2pid power circuit for backlit light ,
and backlit light easily breaks if LCD accident falls

By look at it LED be the crown of power efficiency as LED uses very little power...

follow by LED as LED uses fluorescent tube at main lighting... so (same case as energy saver)

Bothe LCD and LED uses little power as LCD panel do not require alot of power to run furthermore most of this new LCDs has a build in inverter which reduce electricity...

CRT uses PLASMA gun (Vacumm tube) and should be on par with Plasma TV in term of power consumption
