We may see in Symbian^4 or MeeGo but not in Symbian^3.

for the image gallery, if you know how Symbian work.. it is not a suprise why it is so smooth.. coz everytime u take a photo.. Symbian make them become 3 photos total.. 1 actual phone, 2 screen size photo, 3 ultra small thumbnail photos.. so what u are scrolling is the thumbnail and the screen size photo... all those are ultra small photos.....

Won't that consume alot of internal memory? And if it really happen, we can find thumbnail image and screen size image inside internal memory

do u still have a symbian phone on hand? U can check it out.. all under the photo directory.. and all the other 2 smaller files are in hidden directory...

or if u have a microSD card u use before.. u can find it..... yes.. u can find it... not the internal memory.. it is the same folder as where u store ur photos...

every time I delete photo, I make sure those also I delete..... I know it coz been using Nokia for so long...

I just check some of my old Photo on N95 .. not only 2.. is actually 3 thumbnail Symbian create... 56x42, 170x128 and 320 x 320....

Added on September 28, 2010, 11:04 pmgo to any of ur photo directory.. say 201001A0.. then go to a hidden folder call "_PAlbTN" .. there it is....

and make sure if u sell ur phone.. delete those folder too.. else.. ALL ur photos gonna be viewable by ur buyer.. although not so high resolution...

yup... if one of those file corrupted then the photo gallery will failed to show the thumbnail... it also failed to be delete

U have to view it in ur Windows.. and must show hidden file...


it is pretty dangerous... if someone dont have the knowlagde and they connect the phone as "mass media".. or they take out the care to plug to card reader.. what U deleting is all only the actual photos.... the thumbnail u delete NON of them.....

Show hidden file done
Show system file done
using mass storage done
but that folder are empty?

yup... DO NOT use your pc to manage the phone items.... same as formating the memcard ONLY USE the phone own file manager...

which folder u are in?.. in that folder u have take any photo before? u need to have photo before only the hidden folder will be create and store those thumbnail....

in this folder, i try my sister n95 got file as for my e72 are empty
but another location folder name as T found video one. a pic of video.

what ever it is.. my message to u is.. those smooth scrolling ... it is so smooth not because u are viewing the actual photo... all those are only very small thumbnail file..

even the largest 360x360 folder file size average are only 20kb.....


it is impossible to view the actual photo real time..scrolling so fast.. not even ur PC can do it... wat more have to resize it to fit ur screen... 1 photos of N8 probably talking about 3MB? or 5MB?

that is why after u snap 1 photo it take so long time to store... it is doing some processing behind...
