Hi,

When I view several HDTV at the shops, be it LCD/LED/Plasma, there are several models which displayed very sharp, life-like & blur-less motion image unlike normal viewing. I want to know, what contributes to this quality; is it only achievable with HD content? Is it because of the refresh rate? Or is it because of the cinema 24p thing?

I am not very knowledgable in AV so please advise me because I am getting an HDTV.

Thanks!

Like the video cam look. Look for LCD displays that have high refresh rate, turn on image processing to the highest degree. Turn up sharpness to the highest. On plasma tvs, get a Sammy plasma, turn on AMP to highest setting and turn up sharpness, on a Panny turn on cinema smooth and turn up sharpness.

Sonys MotionFlow does a very good film to video conversion if u turn it on at high and sharpness up.

That has nothing to do with 24p cinema thing....Cinema and real life images that you see thru ur eyes are not that sharp.

U hv to realise that this is not real. It is image manipulation to the max. However, if its what u like, make sure the display u buy has the capability to do it. And yes, it works better with HD content.

So it's image manipulation then? Thanks for the input, now i get the idea.

If you want to have that demo look in your house...you'll need of course a good FULLHD HDTV and....a bluray player...

Then again, not many ppl can afford a Bluray disc....so they go for a media file player.

As for the movies files, you cannot openly discuss it...if you wanna know more PM me smile.gif
