@ turion64
from Quill, my buddy LY paid on Saturday evening, new SIM activated Sunday evening (existing Digi customer)
from some other Digi center, another buddy (SHC) ported in from Maxis, got his new SIM card activated within 24hours, got his iPhone4 shortly afterwards. I'm not sure why y'all are complaining here. go complain on the Digi FaceBook page / twitter. Apple will see those, and Digi will definitely ignore us here.

@wilson_png contact AppleCare 1800 803 638 and inform them. find out what they say. Also, do claim warranty in Digi centre, not Digi partner. list is here > http://www.digi.com.my/support/general/digicentres_search.do

@ Duke Red yeah, that's what I asked when I realised that loophole. AFAIK, if you want to port in, you are not a Digi customer till after the port-in isn't approved. so they cannot sell you iPhone4 till that point.

@ firestream its kinda sucky that you had to go all the way there, but there's 45 Digi centres, why did you pick one which serves nearly 5000 people? find another one which has less people nearby? or wait... when they have less demand, you'll be able to walk in n get it, assuming your port-in is approved biggrin.gif

@firestream are you being stupid on purpose? Digi is trying to protect themselves. the policy is that *any* MNP has to be approved by the previous carrier, before the new carrier can do business with that customer. got it?
if you don't like the policy, then go buy from Maxis. you complain here, do you expect us to convince Digi to change the policy?
they do want to do business, but on their terms. willing buyer, willing seller. imagine if they asked everyone to pay for the phone upfront (like you are willing to) ... RM2000, what if the MNP doesn't go thru? refund? if customer pay by card? cannot void after 24 hours... so how?
you senang cakap... have you operated a retail business before?

@ms.crazy no indication from Digi yet about any other plans. They have said they will be open to outright purchase on the 1st of November. feel free to wait smile.gif
by the way, do link to any posts if you see them, so we can all share.

@sugebleach I guess cos he's a MNP (new customer) so they were willing to reserve one for him.

@ms.crazy the rewards program is for existing (3G & 3GS) customers. are you one of those? and as usual, its 1 per customers and it will be sold as stock is available. get in touch with your Digi hotline if you want to ask more...
if you haven't register any plan, you don't qualify

@ms.crazy are you illiterate? the rewards program is for existing iDigi iPhone 3G & 3GS customers.
if you didn't register any plan yet, you cannot participate in this reward program.
go buy a new iPhone4 n sign up the new iDigi 63 / 93 / 163 plans.

@ms.crazy cos I have no idea what you're asking about.
on the linked page, its already mentioned, 1st Nov. so wait till then la. anyway, you and I cannot sign up for that plan anyway. so no need to talk about it.
@menmissed @sugebleach since they are all being clever, lets all do this. when the Digi staff say things like 'no stock cannot MNP' or 'no form submitted' we will ask for their names n post to twitter.com/Digi_telco and get the higher-ups to sort it out. okay? cos its getting ridiculous, we are here trying to get Digi to take our money. do they not want our money ?

@gurus cos the plan is meant for Maxis-sold iPhone owners only. Maxis doesn't even allow any other phones to sign up this plan, and even doesn't allow iPhones purchased elsewhere to sign up these plans.

@ms. crazy your question
QUOTE
time square still no stock ah? do u guys think the epp is it ok? going to apply cimb bank credit card bcoz got 0% installment..
1. Digi doesn't usually tell ANYONE which location has stock, looks like they want us to go there n find out or maybe they don't really have enough people to answer the phone n update everyone.
2. the EPP is slightly more expensive, cos you have to pay everything upfront, including the 5% & if you pay your credit card bills even slightly late then you'll end up paying more than usual.

okay? you need any more spoonfeeding?

@hhting nope, iPhones do not use the built-in storage as virtual memory.
however, the 3G[S] does have more RAM, compared to the 2G & 3G.
