Hey I might be getting an iPhone 4 16GB in the next couple of days. How's the 3G surfing speed? What's the actual speed?

Went to BTS at 9.30am and there were 2 or 3 guys already waiting in line. By 10am the line was around 20 people, and I saw a bunch of korean-ish ladies running over when they saw the queue lol. One of them was very pretty biggrin.gif

From what I heard BTS Digi has 60 units per day for yesterday and today, but all of them are probably sold out now.

Anyway, I wanted to port from my Happy number to Digi, but I was told you can't port a Happy number to any other telco... why is this? Damn Happy.

Can la. Who told you can't Just port to other telco and port in back. If you still in Times Square now, try port in to U Mobile, no charges, but your Happy credit will be forfeited.

The guy who attended to me said it, that it is impossible to port from Happy even though it's kinda under the Digi network. I had to apply for a new number.

So was he wrong? Goddamn.

properly, the guy wanted to say, it is impossible to port from Happy to Digi, since there are both on Digi. So did you manage to get your iPhone biggrin.gif, anyway, just give a chat on Digi OCS for sure

How long does it take to activate the simcard for a new signup? I was told it was already activated when I bought the iPhone at the Digi centre yesterday, but one day later it still says no service.

unfortunately, EDGE is also a data service. It's slower than 3G.on top of that, if u r using data under EDGE connectivity, the person who calls u will get voicemail notification. in other words, u cannot receive call while usingEDGE data connection.

So will I incur extra charges when I use EDGE?

if u are under iPhone plan, the answer is no. use the data as long or as much as u want. no extra charges like Maxis.

Thanks for the info.

Anyway, my sim card was just activated 2 hours ago. I can receive calls but I cant make outgoing calls- there is an engaged tone for 1 second before it says "call failed". Any idea why?

Hey guys, when I turn on 3G, is it normal to have to wait about 30 secs to 1 minute before I can actually surf the web/connect online?

Also is there a place to check how much bandwidth/talktime/messages has been used for the month?

When I turn on 3G,

(1) 3G icon appears on top left
(2) I open Safari
(3) "Safari is not connected to the internet"

Basically I have to wait around a minute after turning on 3G to actually be able to use it. Is this normal?
