I've just ordered the iphone4 based on the digi rewards programme, but now i'm worried.

Will this be a LOCKED unit???? In their FAQ, clause #10:

10. The iPhone 4 that I bought is for a friend/family member. Can they use the micro SIM card with their mobile number instead?

No. The micro SIM card can only be used with the purchaser's mobile number and cannot be transferred.

yea I am worried about this clause too
i hope it's not locked to Digi's network
I am planning to get this but to use with Maxis

Don't be silly. iPhone 4 can't be locked to any number. To a provider yes, but not to a number. All units sold by DiGi is unlocked units, so u think they purposely go and lock the few units sold to online buyers? Obviously DiGi is screwing up the information. I think what they meant is the micro Sim. Typical Malaysian, can't channel the correct information.

You should be giving yourself another chance before falling into Maxis trap for another 2 years.

Unlike DiGi, Maxis has a choice of 1 year or 2 years. DiGi only 2 yrs, I don't want to get stuck with 2 yrs of bad reception and bad 3G speed as well as cocky customer service representative... I've already ported to Maxis without looking back. whistling.gif

I'm using Maxis since iPhone 3G days and it's more than 2 yrs, I've never get shocking bills. whistling.gif

Only fools who doesn't know how to monitor their data usage gets that. doh.gif

And guess what? My work requires me on the run, my colleague which is on DiGi constantly runs out of 3G coverage and have to stick with EDGE, thank God I still get 3G coverage at those areas.

Simple math, if DiGi is so good and so cheap, Maxis would lose a lot of customers and everyone else would be porting to DiGi. Guess what? Those who are on Maxis before knows that they have much better 3G coverage, that's why they stick to it even though the plan are not as attractive as DiGi's.
