what is the reason make u all choose digi iphone 4 plan?
they say maxis have better coverage.

I am from Penang and really don't have issue in regards of coverage. I would rather save the "additional RM200 - RM300" bill from Maxis and instead I would spent them on the applications or even the song/game I like into my iphone.

In terms of services, I frequent visit Queensbay and both Maxis and Digi are located side by side. To me, Digi serve me in more humble and professional way than the ones besides, Maxis is more arrogant.

I'm from Penang mainland area. Yes, Maxis has much much better 3G coverage.. Digi 3G coverage sucks and the 2G signal is not so good indoors.

That being said, I'm using iDigi 88 plan with my iPhone fixed to EDGE only haha.

Chose Digi last time probably because the data package is cheaper (and no extra charge even over quota.. just throttle to 128kbps)

But now Maxis iValue 100 is also up to 1GB (I remember last time was 500Mb?) ... now I'm reconsidering maxis

No internet quota !

p/s :- i have no issues with coverage

Maxis internet is much to be desired.
Why want to buy an internet phone and use a bad isp with it?
Just my opinion.

Also, maxis plan almost double more expensive than digi.

dont u realised that there is wifi around us most of the time... well for me yes! everywhere i go also got wifi nowdays (food courts, shopping malls, kopitiam?)
sometimes i wanna use 3G but think twice, why? got WIFI ma!!

I'm on tethering all the time. 3G with maxis is "toilet turn on the light".

for me because d free calls n sms cn b used to call/send to all providers.whereas maxis only for maxis no only if i'm not mistaken.coverage not an issue since i'm from subang jaya.

went to digi soho kl this noon and requested to switch to digi iphone 4 plan (MNP) from M telco, the officer advice me only do that when there is iphone 4 stock available coz if i m successful to switch to digi iphone plan without the iphone 4, i will be considered as breaking the plan contract and will be fined, is that true?? i feel like been cheated

Am currently watching the moves of Maxis, DiGi & maybe celcom.so far i found nothing to excite me to buy now from digi or maxis.its either the phone too expensive or you got tied into very long contract.waiting for celcom with its plans to be out if there is & after celcom plan is out will see whether maxis & digi will do something on their current plans & pricing.if all no good i might wait for iphone5/4gs (whatever the name is) next yr

digi got better EDGE speed compare to other, i use my iphone mostly for messager,i off 3G to save battery life

Switch to the prepaid plan...

then when the time comes, fill up the iphone4 form and tick the box that says :- " prepaid to postpaid user "



This way, you're already on digi's network and won't get all the crummy excuses that you gotta wait 7 days...bla bla bla...

i saw this on the maxis site: -

"In accordance to government ruling, Port-in customers are not eligible to sign up for the iValue Plans with a 24 month contract. "

this might effect digi too... - i'm not sure about this.

Im not sure about u guys, do you notice that when I turn on the 3G signal, the line signal becomes 3 or 2 bars only. It only has full bar if I off 3G and use edge only.
