Awesome aftersales service by digi, 1st week went there to complain my phone got problem, asked me to come back the next week, next week i went back say no stock, i asked him to take down my number and call me, he wrote it down on a small piece or paper. I thought he did not take me seriously, so when i called CS i kinda complain about their service. However in less than one week the sales person from ss2 called and say that the phone have arrived and i can collect anytime.

Thumbs up for digi SS2 service, So far all the Sales Exec i met are all friendly and easy to communicate with

Exactly!! SS2 DiGi service center is the best!! rclxms.gif

Two thumbs up to darkskies - PMed him after reading his post above, and three hours later I went to the Digi centre in USJ Taipan and walked out with my new iPhone. No fuss, no waiting, no queues, instant processing.

Guys, does your IP4 got the deathgrip issue?
Mine has, and it's very obvious. Just hold the phone (connect the two parts of metal band on the lower left of the phone) the signal drops to zero --> searching --> no service.

I'm thinking of going for replacement, but want to ask first.
Coz need to restore the phone before going tongue.gif

Just wondering, the Digi websites stated that starting from 1st of November, 2010; those existing Digi (3gs) subscriber can get a iPhone 4 with RM 300 discount. How about the SIM card?

You see your iPhone on the side on the lower left side, there is a slit that separates the metal band around your phone. Just touch it with your palm, and connect both sides with your skin. You will notice a drop in signal depending on the strength of signal in your area.

@lohmk those 2 markers are there to show you where specifically not to hold your phone. its like those parts of your car / electronics, do not touch here.
if you can understand that... enjoy your iPhone4.

Guys,

The antenna death grip issue is very much present on my new phone (collected yesterday). Very obvious.

This is very obviously a design flaw, because the way that you hold it in order to cause the death grip problem is the most natural way of holding the phone (if you are right-handed, which most of us are). So this is a definitely a significant problem that should have been addressed before the iPhone entered production.

BUT...

Other than this, the phone is simply perfect. This is my first iPhone (previous phone E71), and it is amazing. It feels like a different universe from the E71 and BlackBerrys.

The antenna problem is easily fixed - just get a bumper or a side sticker for the metal parts.

No regrets at all. The death grip issue, while very annoying, doesn't take away from the fact that the phone is otherwise near perfect.
