The G1 might be the first Android phone to seriously challenge the iPhone. It may not have been the iPhone killer (that honour goes to Motorola Droid) and it may not have the fastest processor and it may not have the most amount of on board memory and it may not have the best screen quality but it is still the MIGHTY G1!

Now watch the video.

I agree with @Mywifecar. The choice of phone and OS updates far surpasses the iPhone. And the ability to root and install modded OS is a big plus!

There is no phone that has truly "killed" the iPhone. Spec-wise then yes, the iPhone is dead since a year ago, but the fanbase is still massive and would take a long time to kill off. The closest a single phone has gotten to kill it is (IMO) the original Motorola Droid. And note I'm not talking about Android vs iOS, I'm talking about a single Android device vs the iPhone.
