QUOTE(hfi @ Oct 6 2010, 03:43 PM) Im cautiously optimistic. Twice bitten and all that. Cant agree more on this. I'd more concerned about the future of the clubs than the need to sign new players. Heck, truth to be told, even starting over again without those 2 yanks at helm sounds better than the current situation. But if this does come true, no words can describe how relief i'll be. At the moment, im more concern about getting dirty conmen out and have our debt removed. The stadium can wait. We need to sort out our team first and foremost. As for NESV takeover, i believe he (as in John Henry) courted controversies when he takeover Boston Red Sox by trying to change the colour of the kits & raising tickets price by 200% Can u imagine Reds playing in blue color Oh well, those are nothing compare to the current pricks that is Hicks & Gillette. Is there even a chance we can end up worst than our current state under those dickheads? This post has been edited by vreis: Oct 6 2010, 04:04 PM |

As with some, I never agree with RH appointment. His so called achievement are all with obscure club. Inter? What did he achieve there considering the talent & money he had? Tactical nous? what tactical nous, just hoof the god damn ball up & hoping for the best. Thats the tactic, for god sake
He looks clueless & devoid of ideas every time camera panned at him. God pls save us from the embarassment under him, just put kenny under temporary charge. As with H&G, I'm sure there cant be any worse we can get, we're rock bottom, morale & confidence wise & literally |

QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Oct 18 2010, 02:06 PM) WTF, I'm even googling hoping for some insider news saying that Roy Hodgson is sacked. Finger crossed its not too late by then On a positive note, at least the new owners aren't harsh, they know that they have very minimal knowledge about football hence taking things slowly. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Oct 18 2010, 03:10 PM) Here is an example. Rafa only came close to winning the league once in 6 seasons. Does this make him a bad coach? Reputations alone are often derived from some level of success but if that were the basis for selecting a manager, when why would Arsenal have appointed Arsene Wenger when he was only managing Nagoya Grampus Eight at the time? If we only appointed managers based on reputation, we'd only have a handful of options, hence the repetition you see whenever you ask anyone for their choice of managers. Actually he did a creditable job in monaco before going to japs. In a way, he has built enough reputation in france before going oversea. What surprise me was the way Gunners have enough info on him as employing a foreign manager is not a norm back then. |

QUOTE(hyperyouth_firepower @ Oct 20 2010, 10:06 PM) 'Mutual consented' or sacked always involve $$$. Money talks.QUOTE(Flamex1992 @ Oct 21 2010, 12:07 AM) napoli got lavezzi - hamsik.. Cavani can own our 2 CBs perfect we will be beaten 3-0 hamsik can own the polsen lavezzi can cut down our speedy defender On Rijkaard, I'm not really convinced with him at helm & as someone mentioned, he had the type of players in place for his system in Barca. If he comes in, worry that it may end up like asking Carra to play one touch football On a side note, rumors had it that Man U made inquiries for Torres. What do u guys think about it? can u stand the sight El Nino in their team as much as u cant stand the sight of Rooney in red of Mersey? Since there's ppl reasoned that if a player wanna leaves(due to whatever reason), the club should sell him when offer comes in. In this case Torres wanna win things which the chance are slim here now, & Man U comes in the picture, should we just sympathize with his predicament & let Man U have him? Personally, i hate that to happen but face it, there's only few teams in the world that can afford him, just like Rooney. His allegiance with AM means RM is out of the picture. He's not a local lad, no matter how u see it, there's a chance it'll happen albeit a slim one. Looking at our genius at helm currently, chances of him going increases with everyday passing. Unless drastic changes are made to the technical dept in the club, most of the stars will grow disillusion & ask to leave. Its the hard truth we're facing whether u like it or not. QUOTE(madmoz @ Oct 21 2010, 11:37 AM) Its either him or LFC....and we know which one we prefer Seriously, if he ain't English, he'll be panned like no tomorrow for messing up Reds. LFC in relegation zone? U must be joking, even with those boardroom turmoil going on. Look at last 2 years, even with boardroom war, the results ain't pathetic as now. With basically the same set of players, but difference in league standing, those that said there's no problem in technical department must be delusional. |
