I came across enzo 7000 speaker for my ps3 as it suits my budget n have optical output to my ps3..

Is the quality of enzo 7000 good?

With budget of less than rm500, what 5.1 sound system can recommend me WITH OPTICAL OUTPUT

the brand called Sonic Gear is not good
lots of problems

highly recommended not to choose sonic gear no matter what happens.


and... I don't see any good 5.1 speakers have optical input among RM500
if 2.1 got la. Edifier S330D

other than that lil speaker,I have no any recommendations in 5.1 speakers

i got no choice to enjoy true surround sound with the budget of rm500 and optical out..

some 5.1 speakers like x-540 doesnt give full surround sound for ps3

two choice...
take the risk and buy the enzo 7000 or
save up and buy a decent HT in a box

sound quality wise depends on the person

build quality...
but if you're lucky then you may get a decent one that last few years

normally sonic gear speaker will just burn and break... or even buzz and crack after the warranty expires

now using sonic gear ego 3nity for 2 years d.. lucky nth happens to it yet...

very one sided bias....

any other branded speaker will suffer from the same issue as well but its not mention here =.="....

alrite since so many bad comments about enzo 7000... how about using logitech x-540 connect to ps3 via white&red cable to 3.5mm female n use Matrix mode

will x-540 speaker running matrix mode pawn enzo 7000 surround sound?

but I've seen many friends of mine received problems with sg even after claiming warranty(and it's a headache to always claim warranty)
it's just wrong...

SG i dun own it but i too feel it has bad quality, has fake tweeter and the sound is just not nice to hear. dun hate me.

I once saw a Philips home theater, basically 5.1 speakers and amp that has optical and coaxial input, suitable for PS3, also priced around RM500. It does not include a DVD player. forgot the name and model.

u serious about it? is it new or used? where u saw it?

im not in msia, it was in sg, best denki, brand new sgd180. it looks similar to my dvd setup - philips hts3181 except it doesnt include dvd player.

well, as long as it has optical input for your PS3, then should be okay... i have no comment about the samsung you are referring to. im not well experienced in this field.

i'm not sure, but at least it will be better than X540 which uses matrix mode. real 5.1 is always better than fake 5.1

if i were u probably buy the panasonic, just make sure the optical input works perfectly with ps3 that's all...

not sure, they have this thing called dolby digital live and etc, basically it's the format used. if the format used by PS3 is supported by the SCPT75 then no problem. you can ask seller or google first.

It'll be good if you can test it to see if it works 100%
If memory serves, I recall reading in the Playstation section about some DVD home theater systems not working with the PS3 even though they had optical inputs. But that was about a year or so back
Anyways, just a little heads up to the TS and all the best in getting a suitable system for your PS3

Oh and keep a look out for any warehouse sales, I once went to a Sony warehouse sale and found a 5.2 AV system for under RM500

I've been using my 5.1 altec lansing for my ps3 to watch bluray n games. Now I think I wanna buy a decent HtiB that can decode HD audio.

I know some of you may feel HtiB is sux, but I think my budget only allow to that extent only.. too bad.. huh!

came to know that this model Onkyo HT-S3300 is preety decent for ps3.
anyone have their thought on this? and how much will it cost? any other suggestion from u guys?
