bro.. can you describe the heat? the heat cant be described as 'heat' IMO..haha.. you should describe it as warm feeling.. dont worry about that bro.. it's common for a such thin gadget without proper cooling way.. DO remember Apple always design their product without thinking ventilation factor. Macbook and MacBook Pro are examples. Warm will only established when you use the A4 processor without resting.. 1GHz speed you can imagine how fast it 'spins' huh..

just charge it like normal day.. most of gadget nowadays use latest lithium battery which doesnt need us to follow old time rule and REMEMBER dont leave your ipod battery level almost depleted only charge it.. you can start to charge it when the level roughly left 30%..if not the previous habit will only harm the battery and causing it not to perform at peak form..
