QUOTE(alexkos @ Aug 9 2011, 01:48 PM) i thought to connect to LCD you will need a VGA? i have never come across any ipod cable to VGA yet.QUOTE(Sylf @ Aug 10 2011, 09:22 PM) hello yes, the latest is 4th generation while there's a rumor saying 5th gen not going to be released this september together with the new iphone. so yes, 4th gen is the latest for ipod touch since 5th gen is not going to be released in near futurethis will be my first time buying an apple product. the latest ipod touch is 4th generation? and in term of applications, are there more apps for 4th generation than 3rd generation? can the latest version of ipod touch be jailbreak? i heard that after apple released an update for the ipad 2 then the users can't jailbreak their ipad any more. apple releases new ipod touch every year? should i wait for the next gen supposedly going to be announced in september or should i just get the current ipod touch? thanks in advance. yes, it is jailbroken already, but not the untethered version. means, if u switch off the phone, you will need to reboot via PC. |

QUOTE(masterelr @ Jan 29 2012, 02:49 AM) Wow really? Didn't know that. I was thinking of getting an ipod touch 4g in the next few weeks and not planning to jail break it... I'm planning to get one with the latest OS. Am I able to jailbreak it then or will there be problems with the new OS? Yes you will be able to jailbreak it, there is no problem or whatsoever. but the latest OS which is 5.0.1 still have a bug where the battery life is not that good. as a starter, turn off the automatic brightness, and the location service. that should make the battery life a little bit better Not planning to jailbreak is such a waste, there is so many tweaks you can install. I honestly won't buy Apple's stuff if there's no jailbreak QUOTE(masterelr @ Jan 29 2012, 02:49 AM) Where did you buy it and how much? I was looking around for it since last month. If you're in a tight budget, you should probably head to Lowyat Garage Sale, under the subforum "Music & Accessories"Before I get an ipod touch, is there anything I should know or not do? Such as not to install a certain apps because it will crash, not to open 2 apps at a time, or not to leave wifi on for too long, etc.... A lot of guys selling 2nd hand ipod touch 4 for a decent price. About apps crashing and all, buy one, and you'll get the experience. But it's worth it. |

QUOTE(masterelr @ Jan 29 2012, 01:04 PM) ^ well, its not much of a bug actually. currently am using it like usual but just the battery issues. Thanks for the info. Getting a 2nd hand one is a bit risky so I'll get a new one instead. I wanted to get one more than a year ago but that never happened.. nice nice. my friend just bought one with engrave cost her around +/- 950 because apple store had discount that week QUOTE(budakdegilz @ Jan 29 2012, 04:12 PM) hi to all ipod touch otai... when you're buying a used ipodneed some advise here....if i'm going to buy 2nd/new ones.. what the "thing" i should look for?? means how to know all the item is as "original" as they stated always check for 1. cosmetic damage eg: dent, obvious scratches 2. try different setting of the ipod's brightness. 3. make sure there is no dead pixel on the screen 4. make sure speaker(when using earphone) and loudspeaker is functioning 5. home and lock button is responsive 6. wifi is usable this is the list of things to check that i could think of |

QUOTE(budakdegilz @ Jan 29 2012, 05:35 PM) thanks for the suggestion... hmmm..that one is quite difficult to differentiate. truthfully, original earphone sucks, so im using other brand.but one more thing how can i know the accesories (earphone & usb cable) are original?? not imitation/OEM?? because as my experience i do know "some" seller will change the original with imitation/OEM version (mostly in AP mobile industry) for the usb cable, you could check the logo on the jack that needs to be plugged to your ipod. mine after using it for 6 months hasn't faded yet, but my sister in law bought a cap ayam cable, and i can see that the logo is faded already. this is just from my observation, whether it is true or not i also don't know QUOTE(ddr3 @ Jan 29 2012, 08:44 PM) my ipod touch upgraden to ios 5.0.1 and JBroken, but now gt 1 prob, no sound at all, what should i do? Help......i hav tried to restore again and again but failed, is there any mute button on ipod touch 4g? when restoring, try set it up as a new device, sync a few songs first and try playing it using loudspeaker |
